Hey guys

Sorry if someone asked already, I couldn't find it: is it possible not to have the disk in your drive with a proper clone image or something along that line? I'm talking about having a normal retail copy, just not having to put the disc in every time you want to play.

Nobody knows? Sad

I'm holding back on my purchase until someone can enlighten me. Activation is OK, but I'm not going through all that shit of putting the disc in every bloody time I want to play.

please someone don't ignore me for a change Crying or Very sad

give me a freaking break, that is a nice excuse to pirate a great game... i didn't even NOTICE the activation and i am sure i will have no problems with activation and such in the future...

It's true the game is worth it. However it is a worthy reason to never buy anything with this kind of security again. And you probably will have problems if you are like me, and like to pull games off your closet shelf years after release and play them. Because I bet a million there's no activation server to call in 5 yrs...hell maybe nobody to call in 5 yrs. They need to remove that shit so paying customers like me don't worry their game they paid for is more worthless than a bad dvd copy in yrs to come.

Doubt that as it download files from the net when you activate it.

Well I got it registered now, but not until talking with securom support through email, but they gave me a code which overrides the internet activation thing, so I'm a happy camper now.

Is it so hard to read?

No, it isn't.
I forgot about that the installer needs to download the game.exe. Rolling Eyes

Can someone comment on the length? A normal player please, I'm not interested in running like a maniac through the game. Can I expect 20+ hours? That's more than enough for a FPS.

I don't know YET, but over 20 hours is unlikely! If you go slowly through the game you can defenetly except about 15-20hours....

At a normal pace, exploring most areas, it will be about 13-15 hours.
The game however has two different endings, so you will most likely be replaying it right after you beat it the first time.

i say 2k has had a lucky time with this title - most likely they have already gathered most of the incomes with this game, now if the game gets pirated later on it's not an impact for them.

which is good of course, but not that that good cause of this stupid drm system they invented

yes

I'd say it's possible, theres loads of stuff besides the main quest to explore. I've been exploring every area I can find and it's taken way longer then if I'd just plowed ahead, but I've found so many goodies in the process!

But I still need to download the game.exe from the web?
After that I call the support? (only if the activation failed?)

Nice to hear that. Many games advertise with explorable worlds, but most are empty, worthless rooms. I'm a very slow player, I like to investigate every piece of space, guess it'll take me some time.
