Never assume.

I hate multiplayer...jumping around shooting 8 year olds (ok being shot by 8 year olds).

I love a great story...i like games to be like movies, like Max Payne and HL2, for example.

A movie costs about £5 for 2 hours entertainment. If i get 20 hours out of bioshock i will be more than happy.

Dude, the average age of gamers is like 30.. There arent many 8 year old out there, except for CS and shitgames like that, so just avoid the crappy games and you wont have a problem with them.
Its really stupid to generalize multiplayer like that, dont judge the entire thing based on a handful of crap games and idiot players..
Multiplayer is the Only thing that truly lasts, i cant see how you possibly can think that 60 bucks or more is a good value for a 20 hour sp only game. Talk about letting yourself be ripped off.
If it has multiplayer however, you could be playing it for months, perhaps years. Thats value for money, barely 1 day of gaming isnt.
Yeah it will be awesome for a few days, but then its all over, and you'd wish you had those 60 bucks to spend on something else.

This is a very blunt statement.

So you don't want to pay for something you've enjoyed and support the creators of that type of enjoyment?
I do buy Single Player games, I've bought HL2, not because of CS:Source but because of HL2. I loved the original, and I wanted to show my support to valve by buying their game.

I will buy bioshock, once I've got the money and there is a proper crack to take care of the whole online activation shit.

probably because most of the crackers are located in europe and the game officially appears in europe tomorrow so if there won't be a release untill at max sunday then we could actually worry about a though protection system

it really doesn't matter to me because i just own a radeon 9600 with pixel shader 2

I can generalise because im stating MY OPINION. I dont like multiplayer. Did I say EVERYBODY should dislike multiplayer? No.

I dont need to be playing a game for months. And it isnt one day of gaming...for me I might play for 2 hours a week. As I said, in a month I move on. So if you like, a months entertainment for £25 is great.

Also Im 35 and earn plenty, so its not such a big deal to me.

X2!! omg i think we are clones Laughing i think just like yourself, every word you said!
Multyplayer most of the time suck, the story it's the same, jump around etc the graphics are the same, etc

Although a good story is much more hard to make! That's why Bioshock is one of the best games of the last years. Bioshock not having multiplayer is not a downside and even if they wanted to do it i don't know how that was possible Laughing

What I think anyone on this board hasn't noticed yet, reguardless of the "hate" for the protection, I don't think I've seen any other game thread where people were buying the game.
