Flame release should be ok but download it's too slow. The only issue with pacsteam is that you can't download some games in fact the team put the files of the games of sites like rapidshare that can be intagrated with steam installation and they work. So they took a real copy of Bioshosck e put the files on internet that can be played with pacsteam.

I am hoping a release(scene/bt/whatever) gets out and spreads like wildfire. Even though I think its an AWESOME game-I'm already at the wharf level and just got the 'enrage' plasmid, a quite fun one-I think the pub needs to be taught a lesson that microsoft keeps forgetting, activation doesn't work. It only bothers the people who actually buy the game.

I don't believe a boycott is a good means of expressing our displeasure but I am advocating that they swap out REAL RETAIL DISCS with a replacement disc without LIMITED activations. That, to me, would regain my trust of 2K and allow me to keep pre-ordering CE games.

I love how she says 'as long as you uninstall the game' you should be able to reinstall how ever many times you like. Who else here besides me has had their windows/hard drive/ect crap out so the only option is a OS reinstall? And how many ppl remember to uninstall each game before reinstalling windows? It's ludicrous if you ask me.

wait wait wait... so if you have a major system fuckup and need to reinstall... or absentmindedly delete the bioshock directory (ie spring cleaning Very Happy), then youve basically lost 'one activation' ? thats just stupid... even steam games arent this bad...

The funniest thing would be if a group eventually cracks the game, it still keeps the two times activation and have to call securom:

About Pacman release... I say fake. There is nothing on pacsteam forum on this rls. They were actually messing around with that usenet Bioshock/Suffering fake there.

By the way, I was was messing with the game. If you copy Release and Content/Map folders from demo to full, it actually starts and shows fullgame main menu. Still won't let you save even though the save menu is avaliable, but allow to play on hard (don't if works right).

The funny thing the gfx looked better then in demo (water after plane tail crush). Though it was already 4 am at my place so maybe I was just seeing things.

If you just replace an 4 missing files from Release folder from Demo folder the game will crush on startup with mscvr80.dll error, well at least on my PC.

yeah , they added they had to little time to work with the dx10 to add more , oh and now we know why they didn`t include 16:10 grrrrrrr fraking support

I just rememberd the first Oblivion release from some dude that had rar'ed the game wrong. So it didnt work, but if jou would mix his rar's some way or other, it did work. lol

Annyways played the demo on my laptop, 800x600 all on low. Ran good, but the whole atmosphere of the game is gone if you play i on the lowest settings, if you compair it to the video's. Gonna play the release on my new hardware that comes in next week, so ill be able to play it on max.

But i just love the detail in the game, not only visual, but in sound to. If you walk on the stage in the demo you hear you walk on wood (thats not new), getting out of water with wet legs, if you hit the microphone (on the new-year party) with your wrench you even hear that screeching microphone sound.

And that's what is keeping me from buying it...I don't like games causing nausea. Demo was ok for 15-20 minutes but, a full game will be a shitty experience.

Great attention to detail. First I didn't like the speed of the game(to fast) but then i realized that it is fast only at the beginning(swimming ) to help u get over that sequence. Afterwards in the bar, at the new year party if u get in water(only feet) u move slower than on dry land.
Does anybody have probs with the subtitles. I get them a little bit to fast. Any advice?

I managed to get most of the first rar from the "flame" release and checked it via winrar, it's the full game and it's just compressed.
(Managed to extract various files like the exe as well.)

From what I'm reading on the 2kgames forums, the Securom rootkit gets installed with the PC demo as well. God damnit. sigh.

Hrm hopefully someone can shed more light on this issue. This is DEFINITELY the worst PC game launch in the history of PC games, HalfLife2 doesn't even come close.

The subtitles are off-sync. It was confirmed by the dev's. At least for te demo it was.
