Could I mount a iso image of the game and pass the online security check?
In the booklet it states to make sure its in your DVD Rom drive to check and verify
This is probably a 1 shot deal and don't want to waste a good serial to find out they can spot the mounted image
Thanks |
No will not work! It will complane about the disk.

How do you mean that its unknown if theyll be able to play the game in a week? |
Because if they install it more than twice it will want you to call Securom and get them to unlock your game.

If your copy is a proper clone then it should be possible.

Yeah, becasue we all know why they did it for, it must be for the n00b Xbox . I'm not saying it's good, I'll probably use that FOV hack, but it wasn't wrong. They designed the game that way and want gamers to play it that way, if you want to mod it it's your choice.
|
You really beleive that? I mean, yeah, it's only logical to see less in WS, and not seeing your whole arm, right? Sure it was designed that way... They are working on fixing this, so I guess they didn't really want to do it this way.
I'm not using WS this is just pissing me off. But hey, one more lie/failure from 2K doesn't really matter, does it?

If the protection prevents a warez release before the retail release they will have increased their sales by a large margin. Fact.

I think that the steam releases use different keys, than the ones supplied with the boxed copy.
Else you'd be able to activate the boxed copy, and then insert your key into steam to get another copy.

I'm not sure if I mind paying for it to be honest. It seems innovative, and the reviews have been great. But lets not kid ourselves, its hardly going to be the death knell for piracy:P

It's wrong. It's not real widescreen. You have less screen area than friggin' 4:3. I rest my case. |
Fuckin' spot on. The FOV hack works GREAT for me, 1440x900, set to .82 horizontal, .84 verticle. You can turn it on/off in game and see the difference, I was getting headaches from it, and I normally play games day and night without issue. The developers tried to say the reports weren't true, but it's blatantly visible with screenshots. They fucked up bad by setting the default FOV to ...SEVENTY FIVE DEGREES. Lol. No wonder people are getting motion sickness, it's a goddamn telescope.
Anyway, the fix works great. Screenshot here (as well as AA, yay graphics whores like me!)
Spoiler: | |
The game is actually pretty amazing, I admit I'm glad I purchased it now that the widescreen hack is out. AA is just icing on the cake.

Just a very quick, and very off-topic question: how do I add the "Spoiler" box to a post?
But to get back on topic,
The difference in FOV with that WS patch is indeed huge. Especially if you switch in-game. That really makes the game a lot better, for me anyways.

On steam you can enter ur valid key no matter what source it is. As long as it is vaild I have done with plenty of games that I have bought that are now offered on steam.

No idiot, the problem is if the OS fails to load and you can't uninstall, you lost an activation. It fails twice, and you lose the game. Now STFU! |
You can still call them and they will unlock it for you

"The OS fails to load?" WTF? You seem like a loud-mouth wiseguy-asshole here, yet you imply that you can't even maintain your system so that it does not crap its pants on boot-up? Thou art the real moron, man.

Sorry but you are wrong. Don't make unfundamented statements like that...
That's why people are incorrectly informed. |
No, I'm not. You have to call them and ask them to unlock it for you. That's great if you live in the US, but there isn't anyone to call around here in IL, is it?

Quote: | 2K Games has identified a small percentage of Big Daddy figurines that have been damaged in transit to US and Canadian retailers. We are in the process of setting up a replacement program to ensure customers who are affected by the damaged figurines are issued replacement figurines as quickly as possible.
Since redemption will not be immediate as replacement figurines are currently beginning production, we will be also sending affected customers a complimentary special printed edition of the BioShock art book, "Breaking the Mold," to enjoy while the replacement figurines are produced and shipped. Additionally, 2K Games will cover all shipping costs for the figurines and art book.
Please check back at this page shortly for details on how to obtain a replacement figurine. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.

what the hell?
the people with broken figurines receive a art book? |
Yup, I'm just wondering how 2K would know that the statue was already broken? I mean, you could easily "accidently" drop it, break it and collect the art book...
