Ah yeah those bluish screenshots, they look like they have a different filter on them, FarCry had a "filter"/FX called "cold" that made the game look much better and more movie like, but it was also performance hungry. Might be something like that.

That was the easiest mission in game..
Did it on first try with the other people far behind me.. :\
It was quite hard. Completed it the 9th time or so :\

And was pretty lucky that time Wink

Anyway, great game. 7th best game in my book ^^

Here are some examples:

You won't see this in the game and you can't see it in the dozens of videos

yeah..when you resize a huge pic into smaller res, it makes it look alot better

still in-game though

oh and it's coming to PC and "next-gen consoles"

You will see it in-game. It will even look better in-game with all that motion blur, day-night cycle, animations and destruction. Watch some leaked alien footage.
And those Mafia 2 screens look like somekind of Mafia mod. Nothing special.

If theyre real..meh..if theyre fake..meh. At least they are making the damned game! Of course I was hoping for a video to be released as well at the GC thing, but maybe thats still in the works or something. Anyways just as long as the second one doesnt look and play anything like that 'Godfather' garbage game, I will be happy. The story was great as was the atmosphere and since the same ppl are working on it and I think they will be getting alot more support this time around, it will most likely be a worthy challenger to all the other type games of this genre.

Mafia, one of the best games ever. I remember the cutscene in the parking lot, it was just packed with action!

I wouldn't mind another Hidden & Dangerous game, too!

later in the game the cars were blazingly fast! It was rather the breaks that were piss-poor, hehehehe

and on the topic of the race that comes up again and again. I bet it is a speed issue. When i first played it the race seemed really difficult (the mission before it, where you steal the car of your opponent also), but back then i had a pc that didnt have enough ram or an appropriate cpu. I replayed it a year or so ago, because i had to introduce my girlfriend to some of the best games of pc-history and it ran super-duper fine, looked still awesome AND the race-parts where much easier. So i guess alot of the difficulty for people was based on poor system performance

Not long reinstalled it to see how good it was/is and the race is still hard the car is as twitchy as hell really needs analogue steering input, but I know what you mean when it doesn't run smooth it messes with the control inputs.

I finished with no problem on 3rd time without any patch or cheat. 1st time I really loose, second time I was better, and on 3rd time I won really significantly. These times half of world laughed about americans who were too frustrated by finishing the race. Thats not IMHO thats fact Wink

The original Mafia had some of the best storyline / character development in any game ever, period.

Storyline - A+
Voice acting - A+
Characters - A+
Environment - A
Missions - A
Mechanics - B

If you haven't played it yet, play it, it's worth it. Still have the awesome poster that came with the game hanging right here on my wall Very Happy

I'm really excited and looking forward to this sequel, hopefully they can do it again Very Happy
