Yeah, and apparently they are working on the PC version of GoW, making new MP maps, that have blown Epic's minds lol. Plus a new project that again blew Epic's mind.
[BTW, Epic gets its mind blown way too often, lol.]
Warsaw, Poland 20-Aug-2007. Epic Games today announced that it has acquired a majority interest in Warsaw, Poland-based game developer People Can Fly. People Can Fly (“PCF”) is best known for creating the hit PC game, Painkiller, but most recently has been collaborating with Epic on the PC version of Gears of War®. In addition the two companies are collaborating on a new intellectual property which Epic will be previewing privately to publishers at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany this week.
The relationship began last year when People Can Fly was evaluating Unreal® Engine 3 to use for a new multi-platform game project. “PCF showed us their early prototypes within only a few weeks and we were totally blown away,” said Mark Rein, Vice President, Epic Games, Inc. “The quality of their work was extremely high, and knew we had to find a way to work more closely with them in the future.” Epic hired PCF to work on the PC version of Gears of War, and collaborated with them on design of a new IP.
“Working with this team of guys who love making over-the-top shooters was a blast, and we didn’t want it to end,” said Dr. Michael Capps, President of Epic Games. “And their work was outstanding. The multiplayer levels they created for Gears PC look as good or better than the original. How could we not jump at the opportunity to work together on a long-term basis?”.
“We are very excited to be working with Epic Games” said Adrian Chmielarz, Creative Director and Co-Owner of People Can Fly. “To be able to work with the best technology company in the business and collaborate on making amazing fantastic games is an offer you just can’t refuse. Making games is hard work but it is also great fun. Working with Epic reduces the stress of being an independent developer and lets us focus even more on fun side of the business.”
Oh yeah, I just had to post this image I found while browsing the comment section of BeyondUnreal

Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment developer People Can Fly has regained its independence from Epic Games, and has confirmed it is working on a new project.
Additionally, the studio has acquired the Bulletstorm IP. Terms of the deal were not announced
"Ownership of the company, which had been rebranded as Epic Games Poland in 2013, has returned to the local leadership to reflect the team's desire to create their own games, a move Epic supports."
Under studio director Sebastian Wojciechowski, People Can Fly is "actively contributing to Unreal Engine 4 and Epic's upcoming game, Fornite." It is also using Unreal Engine on an "entirely new unannounced game."
"We, as a People Can Fly team, are extremely excited about new possibilities ahead of us,” said Wojciechowski.
“We’re going to work on a new game, while continuing to partner with Epic and use UE4. We’re grateful to Tim and the whole Epic team for our long and successful collaboration."
Epic Games chief executive Tim Sweeney added: "We’ve been honored to work with this brilliant group of programmers, artists and designers throughout their history: first as a partner using the Unreal Engine, then as a studio within Epic, and now once again as an independent company."

[Correction: A representative for People Can Fly has contacted GameSpot to clarify that the studio did not buy the Bulletstorm IP. The Poland-based studio said it already owns the IP, and retained it after the split from Epic Games.]
The previous statement suggested to the reader PCF might be looking to do something with Bulletstorm in the future since they spent money to get it. The new statement does not suggest anything like it..

(Don't want to create a new thread, so will this just post here.)
Bulletstorm developer has a triple-A shooter and smaller title in the works
Quote:
Speaking in an interview with GamePressure, CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said one is a triple-A shooter and the other is a smaller project which will be revealed later this year.
“We’ve been working on [the shooter] since the beginning of the year. Before that, we were polishing the concept,” he said, adding that we won’t hear anything about the title until sometime in 2017.
Despite being in the early stages, Wojciechowski said the game already has a publisher which is “a testament” to the studio’s “vast experience.” He wouldn’t divulge which company will publish the title or release platforms.
So, while there is vitally zero information either game in the works, the fact that People Can Fly has something in store for fans is hopefully enough for now.
Thankfully, 94.59% it won't be a Bulletstorm sequel.
