Is there a coop mode in MP? I saw something about a "fugitive"mode, but is the fugitive some sort of bot or just a player?

Why are games still made like that? Even consoles now have HD drivers, so it's not an excuse anymore.

What a pleasant surprise this game is! I know I am late but I have been hitting BF2142 (LAN) and Overlord (GOTY Candidate) pretty heavily. Lost Planet is for one, a great game and great shooter. The graphics and the DX10 effects are outstanding. The controls are good, not great but good. All though, I have no problems aiming at all and feel the controls are top notch for aiming. I am getting the new 2 button Logitech G5 this week so that will only help, that's for sure. I just feel like my character is running through molasses during the winter. Which could be true! Anyway, if this is what the first full DX10 game is going to deliver then I am looking forward to a very bright future in DX10 gaming. I have no problems with frame rate and I am using 163.14 driver. Excellent movie quality cut scenes. Interesting story, and I actually care what happens to my character. Boss battles have been very exciting and are not forgettable. The weapons that I have used so far are great especially the Gatling Guns! It's awesome seeing my character struggle with this big gun while walking. Makes me think of Predator "Come on out you son of a bitch, ol' painless is waiting! Sweet! I have not finished the game but found myself glued to my PC for 4 hours yesterday. I haven't had that feeling since last week while playing Overlord! I am hoping, praying for a Lost Planet 2.
Great game, give it a try if you haven't already. Cannot wait to get off work to get home and play more!

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Update v1.004 (c) Capcom
17/08/2007 :.. Rel.date . protection ..: Steam

New Maps, Features for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
August 16, 2007, 8:56 am - Eric Twelker
-----------------------------------------------------
Capcom has released a host of free new features for Lost Planet:
Extreme Condition, including four new multiplayer maps, a chat
system, and DirectX 10 enhancements. The update will be applied
automatically when you restart your Steam client.
The update includes:
Four new multiplayer maps. Map Pack 2 includes Battleground (an
abandoned town scattered with rubble from ruined buildings),
Lost Technology (a tribute to 8-bit games), Ruins, (ancient
ruins set amidst a lush jungle), and Ice Drop (a glacier with
plenty of peaks, nooks, and crannies)
DirectX 10 enhancements. Specialized DirectX 10 Geometry Shaders
improve overall visual quality through better depth of field
effects and improved motion blurring and fur shading.
Chat system. A new chat feature includes four default messages
that can be sent to other players from the game lobby or while
playing.
If you want to install the ISO you will need the updated NCF
files.
Copy the updated game files.
Online play still works!
HATRED does not condone in selling warez of any kind.
HATRED does not respect any p2p networks, NFOrce or
anything to make the scene more public.
HATRED does not believe in using a lesser protected
executables whether it be a steam exe, unprot exe,
demo exe, activemark exe, direct2drive exe or any
other weaker protected exe to make a cheap copy/paste
code exe and then label it as a crack. Nor do we
believe in any other sorts of cheap workarounds.

DELIGHT - FAIRLIGHT - RAZOR1911 - IMMERSION - POSTMORTEM

No there isn't
I knwo the last thinfg you want to hear is get a new card, but..for dirt cheap, you can pick up an 8600GTS. That's better than the 7900GS KO which runs the game flawlessly

before unleashed write in their info:
If you want to play online you won't be able to do this with our release.
You never will. Get HATREDs and feel free to get legit accounts banned,
if you have any legit accounts that is.
and then they make a fix to play online? ahahha good job

Found this on the Lost Planet forums, should help those who want to test the extra characters and view modes.
Quote: |
Additional Playable Characters
Joe: To unlock Joe, just finish a mission, any mission.
Frank: To unlock Frank, become a moth hunter.
Mega Man: Unlock Mega Man by acquiring 2 or more target marks.
These conditions can be satisfied in either single or multiplayer mode.
In single player mode, these characters can only be selected during the mission selection by selecting a mission while holding down X and/or Y buttons.
Hold down X to select Joe.
Hold down Y to select Frank.
Hold down XY to select Mega Man.
Note that if you go back to the mission selection screen, your character selection will be reset back to default.
In multiplayer mode, the characters should be available for selection on the character selection screen once you have unlocked them. Note that unlock the regular roster of characters, you can not change their textures.
Character Special Abilities
Joe
Movement Speed: 90% of Wayne
Life: 1500. A little more resistant to damage than Wayne.
Special: By holding down the R bumper, you can slow the game using VFX mode, a la Viewtiful Joe.
Frank
Movement Speed: 80% of Wayne
Life: 2000. Better resistant to damage.
Special: Frank come equipped with a Flame Thrower (Instead of a machine gun), a short-range/high damage weapon.
Mega Man
Movement Speed: Normal
Life: Normal. If his life drops below a certain level, part of his body becomes visibly damaged (His appearance changes).
Special: Mega Man does not require Thermal Energy to live, and even when his T-Energy falls to 0, Mega Man does not automatically begin to lose life. Mega Man comes equipped with an Energy Gun with infinite ammo, however it does require T-Energy to fire. You will not be able to fire the Energy Gun without T-Energy! Mega Man will not be able to pick up new weapons or grenades.
Note: All specials abilities are disabled during Multiplayer mode, making all characters equal, despite their appearances. All special abilities are only in effect/be used during the single player campaign.
Cinamatic Mode
To unlock the cinamatic mode, allowing you to watch all the movies at anytime, just complete the game in either Easy or Normal modes. To active it, select "New Game" in the single player mode selection and hold down the Y button while answering the questions (Do you want erase your old campaign, etc.). Then the movies will begin.
RE4 Camera View
To activate the RE4 camera view, hold down the Cround key (Ctrl by default) and press the Left Arrow key. To turn it off, do the same thing again. This mode does not need to be unlocked.
Wide View
To activate the Wide View, hold the Reload key (R by default) and press the Left Arrow key. To turn it off, do the same thing again. This mode does not need to be unlocked.

I don't think it's been posted before either and the new characters seem quite interesting with their various abilities.
EDIT: Here's the entire thread, should explain things further.

Since his card doesn't even have SM3 I'm positive that he still has agp slot. He would need to get a new mobo, cpu and ram and then finally 8600GTS, not that cheap now is it?
