dude, they are already lost. let it be.. i think they can't handle the pressure. they are not used to "deep, situational and emotional jokes based on what is relevant and has a POINT! Not just one interchangeable joke after another!" |

The reason for the dick joke was that everyone has seen Bart naked, but never his dick and since its on the big screen they can do that kind of jokes. Same with Otto smocking weed from a bong and Homer showing that mob the finger.

yeah my point is if those are good examples of why the simpsons movie was so incredibly funny, then they are pretty piss-poor. this is all ground allready been covered by the southpark movie, and one thing we learned from that, is going all the way isnt as funny as NOT doing it.

in comparison to that "stewie griffin - the untold story" mess that is supposed to be the family guy movie, yeah, simpsons are just too advanced [/sarcasm]
Seriously though, if you didnt like it, thats ok. I just found it "odd" to see family-guy fanbois commenting on the quality of the movie here. In my opinion that is nothing more than a masturbatory reflex to show how great your taste is and how poor you percieve everybody else's taste. We get it, family guy fans dont like the simpsons, big woohoo.
As for the movie, in my opinion it translated very well to the big screen and all of the animation looked great on the big screen. The story was also great and the jokes and slapstic comedy very well paced with at least two scenes thrown in to please the die-hard simpsons fans. I got my tickets worth of fun and as a guy who likes the simpsons i d give it a 10/10... |

My favorite scene in the movie is when they jump the gorge you see the crashed ambulance still there from the episode where Homer jumps the gorge....and fails. Just that little nod was great. It's the small things like that.
All the Family Guy people that say it's so much better than the Simpsons probably haven't watched much of the classic Simpsons. NOTHING will ever beat them. I love Family Guy but Simpsons will always be my favorite because of those seasons.
