I've done a mixture of the 2. Bad idea really for achievements but I figure I'll stick to killing them all when I play on hard (currently doing medium and finding it tricky).

As for switching plasmids. The first place I found is when you get to Neptune Bay. There's a machine near the start of the area.

No idea how you get a slot upgrade yet

to get a slot upgrade, you trade Adam for it. there is a machine in the middle of the second level if I remember rightly where you can buy 2 extra slots. 100 adam each No advertising.

People have already been sold the game at a couple of stores that released it early... Its happens all the time and they would need more proof then that to ban you.

Played it a little more last night, really lovely game, I expected to blitz through it on medium but its just not like that. Man those big daddy's are hardcore. I did think it was a little misleading at the beginning it mentions how to change your plasmids, then doesn't give you a means to do so until the next level. Does anybody know if you can actually die as in game over? or do you keep coming back?

Just out of curiosity, how's the harvesting/rescuing handled in the retail version now? I remember watching some old video where when harvested the sister burned & disappeared like the corpses in Doom 3, but think some review mentioned that now the screen just goes blank for a bit?

The Big Daddy's are seriously cool! I love the way they stand menacingly with the drill pointing and twirling in your direction and how they growl when you get close to the Little Sisters as he is guarding her. And when he puts his lights on full beam! Wow that was a totally awesome effect! They can't half move when provoked though! lol. I think they should get their health back when they kill you. hmm once you start playing you can't stop - i think i played about 10-12 hours - however i played on easy because i get mad once i get stuck in a game maybe ill replay it on normal...there was pretty few ammunition at the end maybe they wanted you to make more use of the plasmids...hmm i think i did not do many create things with them..maybe the next time. - but many good ideas in the story and the game in general...won't spoil anything - see for yourself...now bring on that john woo game stranglehold..demo was cool.

this game freaks me out man... At that medical center, I was in some cool box or something... so I gained some $$$ in some corner. Turned around and there was some freaky doctor behind me... But thank god I had my shotgun fully reloaded ^^

When you're choosing a difficulty setting there are descriptions next to each of them...

"Easy - You've never played an FPS before"
"Medium - You've played..."

and so on Razz

That happened to me! Splicers sneak up on you Im sure of it! Surprised the hell out of me to turn around and see one standing there. Didnt attack me or anything but I just freaked and blasted it lol.

did anyone else find that the game gets really tough later on, i foudn big daddies easy to down once i had the crossbow, just setup 4+ trap bolts and daddys down, but some of the splicers really took a punishing requiring 6 shotgun blasts! and i had an upgraded shottie, coupled with the fact that ammo starts becoming really scarce!

Whoever gave this game a 100% rating should not be reviewing games, I'm not saying its a bad game. Infact its a great game but its far from perfect. You would have thought they would have at least bothered to give the guy some legs? Oh wait... small detail never mind I'll continue my rant after i've completed it. I´m with you. It´s a great game, really, no doubt about it. But hey, giving it 10/10 isn´t right, imo anyway.

That's usually what happens with highly anticipated games that are somewhat good (not total failures). Same happened with Doom 3 and HL2 and some other ones. The first scores are amazingly good and forgiving, while later more realistic reviews show up.
