In the last several days my motherboard's chipset fan was making a lot of noise and it was spinning really slowly. So today i took it off, oiled it and fixed it up.
Then I reassembled the PC, turned it on and everything was fine Smile

Several minutes later I turned it off, turned it on again and.... surprise surprise, no power.
Now me and my father opened it up and tried to find the source of the problem (maybe a burnt fuse... but so far we didn't find anything).

Since I know that a lot of you are pretty sadistic, I supplied you with a picture of the victim for your enjoyment.

Have fun laughing while I cry Crying or Very sad

Hehe lol.
That's must be the shit Razz
I always buy high quality PSUs so things like that won't happen, though this time it didn't really help :/ This was an Antec 350w

btw, always stay away from these high watts PSUs from companies you never heard of.

my last dead psu at least showed the decency to only kill itself and stink like hell, so i knew at first it was the culprit. Wasnt so lucky with at least 3 pcs at work, that died because of psu-failure. That always killed at least the mobo or one of the drives, more often both Very Happy

Happened to me twice in a row as well, with two different PSUs (Enermax and Thermaltake). Laughing

Razz

Deelix: Well my 2 only reasonable options is the TT one and this one -
http://www.fsp-group.com.tw/english/1_product/2_detail.asp?mainid=1&fid=52&proid=197
for a bit cheaper.

Seems like a lot of people are bashing the TT one though.
Which one you think is better, and why?

Fucking shit.
It wasn't the PSU. It was the damn power sockets splitter I used + the power switch connection to the mobo was a bit loose :/

SHIT SHIT SHIT.
Now I'll need to reassemble the PSU after I opened it up and started disconnecting things Razz

always check the equipment in another socket first, or measure the rails of the psu Very Happy

I wish you best of luck with the reassembly!
