Will be getting a premium soon Very Happy

Ps3

That puts the console at $499, and with the 5 free Blu-ray movies Sony is tossing in with every purchase, there's never been a better time to buy. The promotion runs from July 15th to the 21st

Was about to post partly on the same subject:

Mainly, is it worth it now to wait a few months for the new HDMI/65nm chipset XO's to arrive on the market (assuming around christmas time for Europe), or just get one now? HDMI wouldn't be of any use personally, but if the new chipset/other changes (if any?) will considerably help with avoiding the Rings of Death and the overall stability, it'd be great.

Also, as I'll probably get it flashed instead of doing it myself, I was looking through some of the deals available and found a company doing both the flashing and selling pre-flashed Premium sets.
The 360's sold there come with a iXtreme V1.2 Firmware plus a 6 month shop warranty which seems a good deal, I was just wondering about the firmware; how much of an extra hassle is the stealth-patching requirement for the backups and is it of any concern when deciding what to get? The console would be purely for single play, couldn't care less about Live.

Sorry to break it for you but many people have reported very minor to nonexistent improvement in system stability on the new chipset. Sad
