Just take a look at the graphic card requirements, that alone should make you think that this is bogus.

I don't see how someone who can't afford a dual-core processor and high-end graphics card is a noob. But I bet that since you're not a noob, you know better.

well, i m still on an older system because i cant afford new hardware at the moment either. I bet his comment was aimed at the people with the urge to run newest games on 5 year old pcs and then complain about the quality of the game here. I call those people console-gamers, hahahaha

If you have an older PC, that doesn't make you a noob. Crying you can't run it at at an acceptable performance with everything on high ("ZOMGZ not optimized") does make you a noob.

U sure those are the minimun specs, cant be?
Im still running games on my p4 3, 1 gig ram, 7800GS.
Could play almost every game till now.
Although i need some upgrades.
I think i can get more out of my 7800GS with a new proc etc.
Like the Core 2 E6750? (170€ good price)

i used prescott 3.2 ghz, 1024 ram, 6600GT 128 , to run lost planet demo, and it works fine on low details and after few weeks i installed 8800GTS 320 and the game run like a charm on 1280x1024 almost all the options high (on 1024x768 its flying like wind on ultra settings).
graphic cards meant to deal with graphic jobs, and if you have fine card , it should be good to run the latest games, but in the other hand, if the cpu and the ram are old and too low, games may not work propperly or not work at all.
starnglehold use unreal engine 3 and we allready saw ureal3 games (moster madeness i thing was under this engine) and there were no problems to run the engine on mid range pc's. i bet stranglehold will run like charm on my pc even on 1280x1024 and so the other new upcoming games. and also on lower cards then i use. so..no need to upgrade;)

doubt it, so far the devs of stranglehold dont seem too concerned with the pc version compared to the bioshock devs

its a PS3 port and don`t forget that Blue-ray can how from 25 (1 layer) to 50 (2 layers) gigs on a single disk .
Anyways the best version will be the PS3 that has the movie "Hard Boiled" on the same disk in HD quality

Um, no, we're getting the 360 port, and for the record, those specs were completely wrong (if you were stupid enough to believe x1300 = 7800...yea.)

Anyone tried the console demo?
BTW, that name, "Leonsucker," kinda scares me.

At first it was very disappointing, but I urge you to play through the whole demo. It does build up. The more moves you learn, the cooler the fights get. The standoffs and the precision aim were gold. The cool "Tequila-time" moves you can do are pretty nifty, but I found that they left me wanting more variety in them. More object interaction, as opposed to just diving everywhere.
Also the "butt-slide" over counter-tops was cool the first 2-3 times, but when he's doing it every 5 seconds... I don't know, it's a bit much. But overall, I did enjoy the demo. Probably enough to warrant a purchase of the game when it comes out. |

I thought the demo was awesome. It's not perfect, but it's great fun. The environmental destructibility is probably the most complete i've seen in a game, and none of the debris fades away.
