would be great if you added more info : media , burn speed , proggi you use to burn etc.

To be honest, unless you really wanted the game, I wouldnt be too concerned about it. You're not missing out on much. How would having a specific firmware prevent you burning an image? When you say you cant burn it, you mean you've burnt it but it wont work in your console? May the NFOrce be with you always.

Sorry for the lack of info. I'm using Verbatims, burning at 2.0-2.4x using CloneCD. I've been able to burn successful copies using the exact same media (from the same spindle) and using the exact same burner and program.

I'm unable to play it on my console, I should have said. It's not so much that I really want this game, but more that I'm concerned that future releases may not play as well.

try to burn the game with imgburn...i have burn this game with that program and it work like a charm (i have finish it )

I'll try imgBurn, but I thought CloneCD was pretty much the same program. Does it matter what version of imgburn I use?

with clonecd i have made a some failed burn so i try with imgburn and every backup i have made is successfull.. try with the latest release of imgurn and set the layer break at 1913760

you tried burning another game since? sounds to me either abad burn or your dvd writer might be on its way out
