isn`t pointless to make a new card when the drivers for the 8800 are still in beta stage Laughing
finish those drivers and then make a card , not the other way around

You never know. There are probably people who want to get even better FPS in both Crysis and Bioshock. Or they can see if they can get better FPS in unomtimised games like DiRT or ArmA

we @ our company have many uses for SLI quad or no quad (multiscreen HD-res 3D real-time installations, showrooms etc). but we're like one buyer/customer Wink and that's all.

we're more into real-time 3D solutions for exhibitions, motor shows, concerts etc. now.

big multi screen (3mx12m) synchronized projections and so on

it's still a game engine (our own) but put to some different use.

although one game (movie-based) is still in development. will be released at the same time in Q1 2008

Nvidia won't release G90 until AMD release something to compete them. Btw, those specs look old and wrong.

So what was their motivation for releasing the G80 when it took ATI almost a year to get something out for it.

Well I can see the use of Quad-SLI if you do heavy rendering etc... But for a normal person one gfx is enough. Hell I worship my 8800GTS it has yet to fail me once... Very Happy
