|
 |
So long story short im now just running vista instead of xp and vista.
Problem is i cant get any decent res/refresh rate options.
Best i can manage is 1024x768 @ 85hz(1280x960 @ 60 hz possible)... where as in xp i could use up to 1600x1200@60hz, and i always had it at 1152x864@75hz in xp with no problems.
Have the newest ati driver, current monitor driver, have tried unchecking hide refresh rates this monitor cant use in display settings.
All i get is 4 res settings and only decent refresh rates at 1024x768!!! which fucking sucks
Anyone found soulutions to get round this??
Specs are
x800xtpe
lg flatron 776fm
core2duo
asrock dual vsta
2gb geil ddr2

Your screen shouldn't be able to do 1600x1200, 1280x1024 is the max for that screen. Also it does a max of 70kHz, so the refresh rate isn't going to be good at anything beyond 1024x768.

Yea thats pretty much what i found out searching the net, but the fact i had it running 1152x864 @75hz for well over the last year with out any problems had me hoping i could get round the limit in vista.
On second thoughts scan finally has the Samsung SM-226BW back in stock!! so problem solved i guess :O
