I can only agree, i have all 18 seasons on my hard drive, the movie's story is close to pathetic, poor jokes, overall it was simply unfunny and empty, with under used second-role characters and wtf with Bart finding in ned a substitute -caring- father? :Oo

The.Simpsons.Movie.PROPER.TELESYNC.XViD-PUKKA --watched that version
Glad I didnt PAY to see this...6/10..Average at best.
Fell asleep during movie. Had to fight to finish it.
Story line, jokes all horrible. I stopped watching Simpsons over 5 years ago because of this. This movie reflects tv show -- BORING!! Give me Family guy anyday.
Recommend this for rental,Cable, or download only.

Went to see it on friday when it came out i love simpsons and i thought it was really funny especially wid homer spiderpig spiderpig does whatever a spiderpiderpig does haha class film on for the collection id say

C'mon - the bean movie is as funny as stepping in dogshit barefooted. I could laugh at the series, but the movie was way too much (not to mention the second one).
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

pretty damn dull... like i said in the last watched movies post, for something this long coming, i expected the makers to put far more effort into a movie, not just taking 20 minute episode and stretching it to an 80 minute movie...
huge letdown. gave me a few laughs, but its hard to recommend this to anyone, and i doubt anyone but hardcore fans who love everything simpsons, will really enjoy it.
its also proof of two things
its well past time for the simpsons to end
and the imdb ratings system is useless because of all the idiots who vote there.. 8.3 out of 10 my freakin ass. im giving it a 5... a 6 TOPS would be reasonable, but 8.3 AND on top 250?... yeah right... and haylie duff has an acceptably sized chin... pfff what the fuck ever...

Well on imdb right now since it's on its 2nd weekend all the fans are seeing it and giving it high numbers. It'll drop out of the 250 within the month.
But hey I loved the movie. Then again I'm a Simpsons fanboy. Also though look at rottentomatoes.com. It's at 89%.

And how much you may complain simpsons still one of the biggest comedy shows out there, so it cant be as bad as ju may think. |
oh come on, if someone invented a shit flavoured lollypop, and everyone said that it was the greatest thing ever, youd call them idiots even though you probably dont agree that shit is a tasty meal... there ARE standards by which idiots are measured, and when you compare THIS movie with the standards set by EVERY simpsons episode that came before, it doesnt really stack up all that well...
and please... 'biggest comedy shows'... i seem to recall buffy did pretty well too... doesnt make that show any less than a steaming pile of shit flavoured lollypops now does it im not saying that the simpsons is BAD, just not as great as it once was... but discussing the level of the show is irrelivant, what matters is how the movie stacks up to the simpsons series as a whole, and, well... come on, even the most hardcore simpsons fans must agree that the show has been far far funnier in the past... - remember, im not saying the movie was crap, just really not as good as the hardcore nuts are making it out to be...
