I just came back from the cinema and i gotta say, i loved it... What did you think?

So many good moments, but not enough Moe, Fat Tony or Ralph Sad

Now, to end this post with a qoute:
As Homer would say: "If it is more than two shakes, it's playing with yourself".

BATMAN: What weighs six ounces, sits in a tree and is very dangerous?
ROBIN: A sparrow with a machine gun!

Haven't seen it yet, but i expect it to be pretty lame, like recent simpsons episodes.
Simpsons have just been around to long to still be funny.

I'll see it today and get back for a review

That was what i was afraid of too... recent episodes of simpsons are mostly crap. Way too many celebritie guests, but thankfully this movie isn't packed with that. And the few that are, are really funny.. gotta love Tom Hanks...

And it is a really good story with many good jokes.. atleast i think so..

I know, just before I was going to the cinema I heard it was going to be dubbed in finnish, since I live in a kinda small city you don't really have a choice. SO I went and luckily it wasn't dubbed Smile

Anyone else in this thread feel a tad saddened by the overall quality of this movie? i mean we all love the Simpsons and this movie was so hyped! with films like LOTR we had books to compare the movies to and lets face it no movie ever comes near the book experience.. but with the Simpsons we only had other Simpsons to compare it to and I feel it was left wanting..

Personally I beleive 22 mins is enough time for a Simpsons movie/episode whatever.. so to me it felt like the really funny parts were spread to far apart..

I'll say no more cos i dont wanna spoil it for those who have not seen it yet.. by all means decide for yourselves..

The problem with the simpsons movie is that they waited to damn long to do it.
They have pretty much milked every funny idea in the t.v show and even that is starting to get boring now... 10 years ago and it would of been awesome..

South park got it right, doing a movie really early

Even though I really enjoyed the movie I can agree that it was a little far between the jokes and that Simpsons is not the same nowadays as it was just a few years ago.

IMHO all seasons up to season 10 are A-OK, after that it goes downwards until season 15 when it really gets worse with some good episodes and more bad ones. The sense of humour changes A LOT in season 16/17 too with more humour based on "he does the same thing 10 times in a row and we'll show you all the 10 times so you laugh at that". A little disappointing IMHO as the Simpsons sure have had it before but not to this extent.
