Well, you would upgrade to a dead end system. Soon there will be new architechures from AMD and Intel ready and you would spent on a rig that it will be ancient in a year or less with the upcoming x68 chipset and new 45nm processors with 6MB L3 Cache and even more later the 32nm processors and many more that will come and don't forget that DDR3 is establishing in the market and in a couple of months it will be common to buy DDR3..but it's still a cheap system that would go nice for everyone..but my opinion remains the same as always...which is to wait a couple of months to see where this price cuts and new architechures will go and when they will end..

Every system is ancient in a year. A system like that can hold for even two more years for someone that is not a hw freak.

Yes the AMD Phenom and intel whatever. Dual Core systems can hold their ground for quite some time. All you really need to worry about is the GFX card. Hell I don't see DDR3 making that much impact in gaming, cause DDR2 sure as hell didn't. I'm using an x2 4400+ on a 939 socket and it's still holding it's ground damn nice. Also last I heard AMD was planning on releasing the X2 Phenom on AM2 as well.

[edit] Found it..
