I was just wondering is it possible to take a pair of svcd's (like cd1 and cd2) and somehow put them on a dvd, instead of burning 2 seperate cd-r's?

I have nero and alcohol 120%. If its possible to do this can i get tutorial on how to do it? Please dont be vague. Or if theres an online url to instruct me id appreciate that as well.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

OMG im exhausted!!! Just got to understanding a little bit about DVDlab's software. This looks like a very cool program. With it i was able to sucessfully make 2 svcd's in 1 DVD, even with a menu! Burned it, and took her down stairs for a test drive. Well it works perfectly, audio and video is in sync, even the transition from cd1 to cd2 was seemless, nothing out of sync. I hope it goes this way all the time. Very Happy If not ill be back to the drawing board. Rolling Eyes

I've been burning VCD and SVCD to DVD+RW for a long time...I hate switching CDs in the middle of a movie. cherzo is right...videohelp.com is a great site. I've experimented with alot of different ways to convert, below is the best way I've found. There's no need to reencode the video...you can simply patch the file headers and use the existing SVCD video. What this means is that if a movie is 1.6 GB in SVCD it will only take up about 1.6 GB or so on the DVD. Because of this it is very easy to put 2 or more complete movies on 1 DVD with no quality loss.

1) Use a program called SVCD2DVDMPG to demux (split) the audio and video from the bin files. It will automatically convert the audio to 48 khz (DVD standard) for you.

2) Use a program called DVDPatcher to patch the header of the video files to DVD standard.

3) Use your favorite DVD authoring program (TMPGEnc DVD Author for example) to create the DVD files.

The entire process takes about 30-45 minutes. I'm pretty sure there is a walkthrough on videohelp.com on this exact process.

Ok i ve got the tools you mentioned. Now can you give me a brief explanation on what settings i should be using in svcd2dvdmpg? I mean do i want .bin ->PS or .bin->ES? Whats the difference? Then what horizontal rez. patch value do i want? 352, 480, 720 (entire file?) (1st header only?) or (None?)

you could just register svcd2dvd and it will do everything with 1 click..rip the bin, convert to dvd , join and patch the header, and then it will author into audi_ts and video_ts folders ready for you to burn, it can even burn the film for you...like i said, its just 1 click, from start to finish in about 20-30 mins....not bad for a tenner...in fact i would say its the best tenner ive ever spent

How about divx (or xvid) to dvd? Lets say I got a 2cd xvid movie with AC3 sound, how could I convert both cd's to 1 dvd ? And will the dvd then also have surround sound?

Do I need to join the 2 xvid files first before I convert them to dvd?

And what is the best program to have this conversion done?

TIA.
