Why the hell won't this run in full screen mode? I'm using the 94.24 drivers on XP with a 7600GT and I'm stuck in windowed mode. I can click on full screen in the game settings but it doesn't do anything. Anybody know what I need to do?

For all of you having problems with low frame rate, hear this:
The game automatically turns on the antialiasing on startup, no matter it shows "off" in video options. This has the great impact on frame rate.
So you must manually change it to "off" again. Tested on 7600 GT and a 2.2 GHz Sempron, works smoothly in 1280x1024 max details (except AA, of course).

Is this problem with last level WinXP specific, or it also happens on Vista? (I'm talking about Razor Repack)

i m not sure if this was answered before (the board-search sucks or i m too dumb to get the appropriate results... ), but is there a general problem with dual wielding in the pc version of halo 2?
I m running the game under xp, so it might be a problem with the loader/crack combination (i m using the wowloader 0.2 and the razor repack-release crack).
My problem: When i dual wield weapons, i can aim upwards and downwards alright, but only to the right and not to the left. I doubt that this is on purpose. Any ideas for a remedy? [if it has been already answered in the last 30 pages, please dont kill me =)]

thanx for the info, CostelD. Could be either a fucked up controls-setup or a (mouse-)driver issue then...

Can someone bottom line it for me?
My question is which loader/release will minimize the problems?

The guy that made the extrem xp patch has updated the installer, just tell the program the drive letter of the disk. I think he udated his loader too. I don;t know if you can get past that level or not, because I unistalled this waste of a good DVD. I fail to see why they made this piece of sht. Vista only pshhhh.

Quote: | I'm STUCK ON GRAVEMIND!!! HELP!!!! It keeps asking for disk!!
Fix 1: In your Halo 2\maps directory, make a copy of "07a_highcharity.map" and name it "07a_highcarity.map". Don't rename or replace the existing file, you'll need BOTH files present, one with the typo and one without. Then just fire up Halo 2, select Campaign/Select Level/Gravemind (or Resume if you've got the game saved just before the Gravemind level) and enjoy! |

gravemind fix
Quote: | install Halo 2 using the abcba loader and get it configured and running on XP (there's plenty of info on this on the net, use google)
download and install Process Monitor (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/FileAndDisk/processmonitor.mspx)
play the game until you get to the gravemind level, as the level tries to load you will get the message "Sorry, insert you original Halo 2 disk"
(inserting either the original or any other disk does nothing since the drive is never accessed).
close and restart the game and let it get to the main menu screen.
hit the windows key on the keyboard to minimize the game and open process monitor, let it run and monitor processes (the list wil fill rapidly).
Click on the Halo 2 icon in the taskbar to re-maximize the game.
click on "Campaign". Do not resume, select new and then select the gravemind level.
Let it load (It will take awile because process monitor is slowing it down). Don't wory about missing the intro Video, once the level loads, it can be restarted from within the level.
Once it loads and starts, (wait for the intro to finish) minimize with the windows key again and close the Process monitor.
Re-maximize the level, hit the escape key and select restart the level (if you want to see the intro again). The level can be reloaded from checkpoints as long as you are within the level, if you quit the level for any reason, you will have to run the Process Monitor again while the level loads.
You can load a saved checkpoint in this manner, so you don't have to complete the level at one sitting.

Cheers, I tried all the other methods first (renaming and shit) and none worked so I tried this one and I have no clue what it does to make it work but it somehow does, and you can exit it after the intro. Again thanks.
