...having said that, i d really love to play another clive barker game, if it is as good as undying =)

he's just making the story , is the same like with the Harry Potter movies , there J.K.R. gives the director only the story and the info how all things should look and thats it

The same was with Undying , had a great story , nice cuts scenes and great detailed models with they own personality But it had dull empty maps , and thats why it was a great game if you like the story but if you like FPS it was meh

i loved the "emptiness" in undying, as that gave room for tension, forboding and climax in the story. If it had been a constant slaughterfest like other shooters it would have been dull and without the proper moments of fear induced by sudden enemy attacks after having run around in eery looking scenery.
F.E.A.R. kind of managed to mix horror and action somewhat better, but ruined alot by having alot of boring repetitiveness thrown in. So if we get a mix of Undying, F.E.A.R. and perhaps some Doom3 moments thrown in, i d be fine with it

Game was about hmmm have you seen the CGI movie "Robots" (http://www.robotsmovie.com/) , its the same realm but in this game you play a robot who is a reporter that was framed for a AI murderer - game is mostly the same like "Beyond Good & Evil" {same game play style} so if you like this game you will like this also

phantasmagoria is another game, that gave me nightmares But that wasnt an FPS. DooM3 had also 2-3 moments that were frightening, but overall AvP was the most frightening indeed |

I'm really hoping that this game will Kick major ass, but from looking at the gameplay vids I'm a little worried that the game is just gonna be a scary Serious Sam kind-of-game (To much fast paced action for my taste all the way though both gameplay vids). I don't mind fast paced action in Fps games but if it's just gonna be like that the whole time I know I'm gonna be bored (Anybody remember Doom 3?) Sure it was scary in the beginning, but then it just became an annoing kill fest (Annoing because of Near dark environments through most of the game). My point is that you can easily get to much of a good thing (Dark scary places and fast action can be really great..AS LONG AS YOU DON'T OVERDO IT).

I hope the team mates will die soon. Nothing scary about running and shooting around when you are not alone. In the vids i don't really feel the scary atmosphere. It looks like a serious sam-like shooter to me too with the name of Clive Barker in it to have better sell-rating...

yup. It also played pretty weird but after i got into the game-style of just clicking around the story slowly unfolded and was getting more and more horrific all the time. With some gratuous sex scenes thrown in the mix |

I read that at one point in the game there was this violent rape scene when the protagonist's husband is posessed by a demon. Juicy.
