I think it's kind of lame you are forced to be the evil side. I would have liked a choice. Razz Or a KOTOR kind of deal where you make decisions along the way or something.

I like being being a good guy and I like being a bad guy but I generally don't like being forced to be the bad guy. No 'force' puns intended.

I don't mind being on the dark side, tbh. I can see where you're coming from, but as long as it's a good game, I couldn't care less whether you're good or bad. In a Star Wars game, it still comes down to killing, and whether you kill the good guys or the bad guys just doesn't make any difference for me.

I don't think it's as simple as that. While you do initially start out as Vaders apprentice, I expect you'll be given a choice half way through the game. Just like Jedi Academy where you're initially on the good side.

Anyone watched the latest video, it's a bit absurd the way the character (might not be the protagonist of the game) can take down a Star Destroyer single handedly with the force. That kind of power is beyond anything the characters in the films displayed. I'd like to think thats what Anakin would have eventually been capable of if he'd not been crippled.

Oh that would be good, I wouldn't mind that...I just don't want to be stuck being Vader's gimp the whole game, I want to run my own show. Wink

Things is: Force Lightning is way funnier than force heal Wink

And push is better than some speed boost!

Darth Vader is the king of all villains, so working for him can't be that bad.

As Yoda would say "evil must you be, Darth Vader you must obey."

Hm, for a game where you're supposed to be restricted to playing for the dark side there sure is alot of stormtrooper-killing and star destroyer-smashing in the concept art over at IGN.

The developers said that they're heading for a new direction. They wanted to give the Jedis a superhero-like feel, thus the "force unleashed". It's still a hack'n'slash action Star Wars game but all the force powers are much more powerful than in previous games. "Push" for example, doesn't just push the enemy a little backward, but sends him flying through wall like a cannonball etc...

BTW George Lucas himself is directing the story.

The deal with killing his own folks has something to do with him being the "secret" apprentice of Darth Vader, so he can't let any witnesses to be truly secret.

watching upstarts_69 link : http://www.gametrailers.com/player/29964.html?type=flv

ok right i watched the video and watched for the very first time this new euphora shit theyre all hyping up. Im sorry but wtf, a funny addition perhaps but its not revolutionary and its certainly not realistic in the slightest, it seriously looked like just jiggling about ragdoll in the in-game videos, if anything it would detract from my immersion making me feel like im playing some sort of ragdoll kungfu sticky game. also the two guys in the interview, the one of the left has a freaky ass face (bulgy eyes) and the one on the right has an eyebrow twitch.

rant over.

the material breaking physics looked pretty good on the other hand!

thoughts? anyone agree/disagree?

^got to agree with you.

Never understood the fuzz about Star Wars either. Stupid overrated sci-fi.
Think id rather play some Lego Star Wars in Co-op Very Happy ...maybe going a bit to far. But we already got games like Republic commando and that academy game

Yeah looks great. I always found the force powers to be the most fun things in star wars games like jedi knight, and this is like the ultimate force power game it seems.

Still.. I got a feeling that there'll be something really bad in the game that makes it not as good as it should be. like a 6 hour campaign with no replay value or something.
