Maybe it's me but I don't see any recent game (2006 or 07) that is worth playing all and over again (ie playing it more than 1 week non stop)...

New games are just nicer graphics of the same ol' genres we've been playing since we were kids. Meh.

I sadly have to quote you friend ... how much i am missing the diablo / diablo 2 all-night-long-lan-sessions ...

The last titles that ate a portion of my time were however neverwinter night w / both expansions, (partly) titan quest and heroes of might & magic 5 ...

I recently reinstalled Psychonauts, whenever I have some spare time I find myself booting it, even with most latest games waiting to be finished. They should make more games like that.

It's just mindless competition, there's not that much depth in the strategy at all, there's not much adrenaline in the action. Play something epic, play something blood pumping, play something that is even vaguely more exciting than competitively watching paint dry.

Once you memorize the available builds, it's just stock standard clicky-pointy execution. Where's the fun? Not there.

Until 2-3 months ago it was Battlefield 2 all day long, right now it's Mafia and in the future I have high hopes for CoD4 in terms of clan gaming.

The more I test QuakeWars the less I feel it's likely I'll play it. So it doesn't take as much time anymore.

Unfortunately there is no game taking ALL of my time.

It replaces most sound effects, enhances textures (2048x2048), adjusts the gameplay. On the edge of a total overhaul mod.

I think it should be mandatory WSDA control setup for MMOs, especially flight sims! Stupid point and click, takes so much control out of it! How the fuck do I know where I'm clicking in SPACE!

so half life 2 cinematic mode does stuff as it was written before - enchants textures mostly. havent played a lot (girlfriend make also like 1h playing/day Very Happy )

about stalker mod - i used this mod http://stalker.filefront.com/file/New_Improved_Bump_Maps_FULL;79375 and also few others that changed sounds, improved spawning, changed flashlight, improved AI and aiming. try to avoid weather mods cause they do weird stuff with nights at chernobyl (you wont see anything). on that web i gave you so check them out Smile i can look what i downloaded when ill be back at home so ill recommend you more intresting ones.
ah and for those mods im using patch 1.3 now this game is worth playing Smile
