teskdisk fucking rocks

had to reinstall xp. did the usual windows updates, etc, everything fully installed again... could see my temp drive (which was good.. it had 5 or 6 recent game isos on it), but couldnt see my media drive... 300 gb of movies and mp3s, and every time i tried clicking on the drive, windows would say it wasnt formatted which was bs, because it was working just fine 2 days ago before i reinstalled xp! just how fixed the drive and now i can see it again! w00t! happy Very Happy

Always risky to leave secondary drives connected while doing a re-install.

how so? never had a problem before, and as 'iffy' as windows can be, how could it fuck up another drive when it has nothing to do with it?

bah it doesn't, only thing it does to other drives is erase any registry's entered from them like if you install games on one.

well yeah that goes without saying, but as far as just a plain ol media drive for storing files, nothing should really have happened.. it definately should have been able to read the drive without problem especially after sp2 was installed... i wonder how well vista handles stuff like this Very Happy
