IGN: Crytek gives us the lowdown on the customizable weapons system in Crysis.

yeah im lazy and cant be bothered looking, sorry, but is this game another one of those f**king vista-only games, or is it playable on xp as well... not that i care, ill most likely be upgrading to vista when this is released anyway, but will the demo be playable on xp?

edit:
ok so im not quite that lazy, looks like its a vista and xp game, so we can expect the demo will also run on xp as well right?

Crysis is both DX9 and DX10, and it isn't Vista exclusive, so yes, you will be able to play it on XP.

Thats got to be bullshit. I find it hard to believe they would release such a hyped game on the anniversary of the largest terrorist attack in recent history.

Sorry mate but that is one of the dumbest things i have read/heard in my entire life. It does not matter in the slightest. Sep 11th is a normal day to pretty much the entire world now. You dont see any complaints with call of duty getting released on the anniversary of the war and such do ya?

However.

Confirmed 14th sep.. This is true now on several sites, for example gamespot:

Crysis is a Sci-Fi FPS game for the PC, where mankind must struggle to survive in the face of an alien invasion.

Read Previews ยป
Genre: Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter
Release Date: Sep 14, 2007 (Game Details)[/b]

You do realise I don't give a fuck when it's released. Yet as dumb as it may sound, there have been delayed releases for less. September 11th is still fresh in the minds of many Americans, and while Americans don't constitute much in terms of world population, they definitely do in terms of the computer games market.

Most people who experienced the war first hand are dead, it's not like they've got enough numbers to resist the commercialization of the war even if they wanted to.

Come on, you know how petty people can be. They'll complain about anything given the chance. I know certain film releases were rescheduled so they wouldn't fall on September 11th.

You're probably right though, it was almost 6 years ago, and considering the demographic they're targeting probably won't give a shit I guess it doesn't matter.

Gamestop says 9/11 for release. Official EA press release (http://ea.gamespress.com/product.asp?s=779&fact=241) says 9/14. Who to believe? I'm sure you know which is more trustworthy. Wink
