Yeah if the characters came without any of the depth that BB built up for them i would agree.. but it's also not very fair to judge it like that since we do actually have BB, so there's a good reason why we don't have 1 hour extra to familiarize ourselves with e.g Jesse and the others.

I thought the movie was absolutely unnecessary. It brought nothing to the table. It is alright. Not good, not bad, just forgettable. I would've preferred if Vince worked on the new season of Better Call Saul than skipping the year to work on El Camino. Also,
 Spoiler: | Todd looking like a 40-year-old fat man despite the character being a skinyn guy in his early 20s. Jesse in skinny jeans in 2009. Walter White with a bald cap on, etc. Everything felt very lazy or hastily produced |
I don't know. 6-7 out of 10. I would say it's skippable even for BrBa fans.

Well I’m ashamed to say I’ve only seen the whole series once and nothing since it ended in 2013 so that’s over a decade ago! Plus my memory probably isn’t what it was lol.

you're pretty alone in thinking that i reckon. it's clearly one of the most memorable tv series of the last 20 years for sure, seen it 3 times so far. i'd probably rate Sopranos a bit higher, but way better than even classics like The Wire imo.
It's kind of comic book-like so i get it that not everyone will like it but its pretty universally praised.
