In Sli they perform very well in most games. But the article mentions that games like Ghost Recon that rely heavily on a large framebuffer will suffer at highest settings on higher resolutions. And as the test results on that page show, that certainly is the case, even when two 8800gts 320mb are in Sli. The single 7900 with 520mb out performs 2 8800's in this case

talk about waste of $$$ Laughing

i think it will be better if u get rid of your card and get same but with 640mb ram

I do not share the same opinion. That card is great for it's performance and value, and it really stoods up to the nvidia 8800gts 640mb and ati 2900xt when it comes to resolutions of 1280x1024 maximum and without AA and HDR etc..it's obvious when we go for highers resolutions with AA and HDR enabled the graphic card doesn't have too much memory and it will start to lose performance..but even still i think that's a great card price/performance and at this time i wouldn't spend 100€ or more to get a 640mb version.

Stop spreading false hope! You are about the only one that likes this shit-ass card. Just because you have wasted your stupid money on it, doesn't mean it's good.

Without HDR? What age do you live in?

you probably can play any game perfectly on 1280 *1024 with 4 * AA (which is about the same as 1900*1200 without AA)

what is the point in spending 300 euro on vcard that u won't be able to use at max plus all features and don't forget Crysis which probably will require at least 512mb to run it decently

First i don't have this card..i have an 8800GTX..and secondly not everyone has your money n00b. Those who don't have much money can buy this card which is perfectly adequated for todays shitty games and the future games that will be released. They won't use HRD etc..but like i've said..not all people are rich as you. See you

The point is for those who don't want to spend money like 650€ for an ultra version and a couple of months later the card is at 300€ or less and for those who really don't care about the future games that are going to be released...and for those who are happy just to play the game at average fps without HDR and AA enabled.

i'd rather add another 100 if i'm building new system that lasts at least 2 years
if i wanna play games at average i just get 8600gt and play at 1024x

it's not about future games, some games may look same but will force u to have decent rig to run

anyway to each his own, u seems to be overprotecting your investment and unable to see whole picture
