|
 |
I have a Linksys BEFSR41 and when im downloading via the router, im loosing 300k/s of speed. When my modem is hooked directly to the PC i go to 1.14MBps and when modem is on router, i go to 700KBps.
Is there some settings i need to tweak in the router to make it work?
As far as i know, the router firewall is disabled
Thanks

Make sure QoS is disabled...
Ohh and more importantly, if you have a GigaBit network card, try setting it manually to 100mbit FULL duplex...
Sometimes, the computer tries maximum speed(1gigabit) but if the router say no go(Since it only supports 100mb FD) the com goes into safe mode a takes the lowest speed that work( 10 mbit HALF Duplex)
Forcing it to 100 MBIT Full Duplex usually solves this problem.
