loaded up the game, cant set textures to high like in the first game. everyone was all artifacts or not showing up, then it blue screened my comp.. lol

Great demo, this game looks seriously good Smile Gameplay seems much better than the first, also Good optimisation and good visuals, lets hope final be as good Smile

Only team AI is still very stupid. I sent a soldier in front of me. He was fired at and didn't do a thing. Just stand there and get shot.... Rolling Eyes

yeah same here but in my case if i set the shadows to high i get a black screen and if i pick medium then i see the game but this game begins to artifact :/ WTF!!?? can set all on high but i am forced to play with shadows on low , hmm maybe this are the problems of the 162.15 beta drivers ? because never had this problems with the MP demo

o and you can`t set high textures - you need a 512ram gfx card to do that Rolling Eyes

anyway just plug-in my old 7600gs and guess what , textures are on medium ok but i can normally play with all on high even shadows , looks like those drivers are crap or its a another game like Double agent with crapy compability for new cards

Edit: yup they where driver problems , just installed back the 158.22 and can run finaly those shadows on high

Hmmm.... I got it a nvidia 7800gs with options at medium with 4x. And i only get about 20 fps.


P.S. i am using Vista.

Runs like a champ for me, AMD 3000+/754sckt/EVGA 7900 GTO @ stock. Everything on high 16xAf no AA. Have'nt played too much, but so far, I like the demo very much.

This isn't a port. Ubisoft didn't learn their lesson with the first game. And the latest ports run great on high end rigs (overlord, transformers, lost planet).

works great here , finished the first mission like 4 times and i must say :
- weeeeeeeee no more lag , finally they optimized the engine
- finally he dosen`t move like a tank , love those quick change of weapons
- team control on the battlefield finally looks more like in Full Spectrum Warrior
- satellite view is now usefull , finally you can see every enemy on the map , not like in the first part when they spawned if you got to a trigger and you see no one on the map
- yes Ai of your teammates are below US standards but only if you set to Recon mode , on Aggressive they shot every thing that moves (including you Crying or Very sad if you stand in they line )
- and finally they fixed the ENEMY TAGS (that red diamonds) , they are now placed automatically when you spot then (in the first part they where only tagged if they shoot at you)
- o and the weapons now shoot in a straight line Laughing (guess some people didn`t like the realistic bullet drop from the first part)

this game has dualcore support and runs quite well.

Only thing that sucks is that bullets dont go through wood and other soft materials. I tried to shoot a enemy through wooden fence (right @ the start of the mission) and the bullets where blocked... nice... that gun that I used shoots bullets through walls and shit in real life ... (that über sniper)

its not dx10 game... and most of the shit you c right now @ DX10 you can make with dx9.0c

and there are no good dx10 cards available that can run that dx10 thing right now. wait for 8900 or smt like that and crysis <--- that should be a "real" dx10 game

PhysX cards are to me what most ppl think about VISTA (why they think VISTA sucks is beyond me, I guess its a fad) Maybe I should get a PhysX card and prove everybody wrong

Hmm I didnt need FAGAEIA Shytix card to shoot through wood and thin walls in CS 6 years ago.

well, in a developer diary video they actually said that the game utilizes even quad core, so it's just a marketing thing. they were paid to give the game extra features with a physx card.
so even if it would be possible to do those better physics with a multicore cpu, they can't do that.

and it doesn't really matter that much anyway, GRAW1 was good enough without a physx card, and I'm sure GRAW2 will be the same.
