I am not visiting the forum as much as I once did, I find myself sitting there thinking "what the hell am I reading this or that for? It's all flaming anyway"...
This forum has really went down the shitter over the last few months, once I enjoyed being here discussing god knows what with some of you people. A few of them already left the nforce forum and some of them are left.
There's almost only bashing going on or posts where you do nothing but say some bad about another person. I'm not saying everyone does this or that I have never done it but some time ago it was at acceptable levels. Now it's just fucked up. Perhaps I'll peep in a little now and then, say something useful or not. However I doubt I will visit the forum much until the flaming and all that has stopped.
The excitement coming here to see if Psycho or anyone had created a new thread to discuss in was great. The subject didn't really matter as with those discussions that were those time it was interesting and sometimes fun anyway.
This isn't a final goodbye as you might see me from time to time, but most of the posting will stop. Please the forum need serious clean-up, active mods and harder rules against flaming, bashing and the like. Otherwise the forum will really turn into shit.
Flame me away, I know some of you will...

The fun thing is a couple of the people who had substance to their criticisms got permabanned... possibly because it involved some of the talentless mods. ^^
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Don't see anything wrong with some flaming here and there. Keeps the blood flowing! It's only a harmless forum.
When I came aboard a few months ago I was involved in a lot of flaming, good times !!! I think you just got kinda bored, that's normal.

Well, nforce has its charms. It's one of the nerdier forums I frequent (besides MMORPG.com), and it seems that the more stereotypically-nerdy a forum's inhabitants, the more insulting people become behind a fake tough-guy internet facade.
Not that I'm not a total geek.

I don't post like I used to here anymore either. I update game threads. post new games and take convo on SOME games but that's about it. I got sick and tired of all the flaming, hell just look at the Fallout 3 thread, game is far from finished and everyone else who isn't developing the game is bitching about how THEY think it should be made and bashing anyone else who has a different opinion. I push the report button on a regular basis...lol just ask any mod, I was pushing it like 10 times a day now I rather just not come here and avoid it all together.
btw, Waldo got banned for jokingly flaming me in the Fallout thread

i dont think the forum is shit it's just changing. A lot of older members are inactive/missing completely. Newer members are a different breed than the old timers.
The change has nothing to do with mods/admins etc. It has everything to do with the contributing members.
Everything goes through cycles. When I first got here people were complaining that the forum was changing, then it happened again. Now that we are in that cycle one more time and it will happen a year from now. Change should be expected.

I don't really think it has anything to do with mods. They can't be in every thread at the same time or keep an eye on them, thats what the report post is for. I think it's a lot of these new kids comming in thinking their part of the group just because they've been reading the forums for a wile and can come in here and flame to their hearts content.
I think I was ever only flamed once when I joined up and that was from Eliz cause I didn't make a template to the game or provide screenshots

It changes, sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worst. There have been times where mods wouldn't even bother visiting world news because cleaning it was impossible.
Removing 3-5 specific members would clean it up, but we'd also lose a lot of interesting posts I'm afraid.
