					| Get him to move to the Netherlands. Actually heard on the news there was a chronic lack of truck drivers, and they get paid a lot.
I'd not want to be a truck driver even if I got paid in solid gold, but still.

					| That's our goal in general Nouse. He needs his class one licence and so much cash. $10000cad or so. I've offered to lend him the money to get his class one. But he's too proud for that. | |

I'm starting on my truck drivers license in August, and when I get it, I can get a fulltime job the same day I get my license. And I'm 18 years old.
No need for any other experience than to know how to drive a truck and you need a legal truck drivers license.
The monthly pay is ~1500-3500gbp +/-

 I hate you.

					| On the philosophical side of things, I'm forced to conclude that everyone can either bitch and moan about how unfair the system is; or they can try and make their own future. The latter sometimes requires mroe guts than people have. It might require you to work a shitty job for a year or more; but if you get your head out of your ass - you might actually get somewhere.
There's an ongoing discussion here in sweden: should people take jobs that they don't like, or wait for an opportunity. Since there's a discussion, I summize that the question is subjective. In my opinion, however, anyone who's getting money for doing nothing (save for disabled, students, etc) is a deadbeat and should be shot in the foot if they want to qualify for the disability checks.
