Seeing as even 8800GTX cards struggle with it, I can imagine you won't play it all on max on a very high res. This game is just poorly optimized (for Eliz: BAD PORT).

LOL, that was funny

well, to late now I just came back from the store after buying my brand new BFG GeForce 8600GTS 256MB OC 710MHz/2000MHz DDR3 PCI-E, hope will run smoother than my old 7600GT Fatal1ty.

hope my AMD X2 3800+ with 2Gb DDR2 doesn't complain to much

It'll run it fine. It does great with my BFG Geforce 8600GT 256MB DDR2 OC 560/700 (slightly OC'ed it to 610/790), so it'll run even better with yours, although I have an AMD X2 4800+, same RAM.

dirt runs nicely (~60fps) @ 1024x768 0xaa or 800x600 4xaa with all settings at max except shadows on my sparkle 8600gt @ 600/800. framerates are best on solo races but still run smoothly on multicar races. yes its poorly optimized but it looks great and seems to need recent cards to run at all well.

I'm running it maxed out at 1280x1024 at about 30fps with an XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB (slightly overclocked), Core2Duo E6600 and 2gb ram.. It's just not optimized.

I can't pass from a max 25 FPS at 800x600 with all settings medium, is this normal?

new drivers as in beta drivers, or the current beta drivers are going to have a proper final release... just a bit confused by your post, but higher performance is always good Very Happy

Well they had beta drivers up for download for a bit then had taken them down because of some issues caused (broken scaling and some other things I think) and not sure if their going to fix them then put em back up as beta or just release them as official. I'm signed up on teh email notification so I'll make a thread about it once their released. I got about an extra 10 FPS on a 7900GS KO/amd x2 4400/2x1024 on medium/high so I can only imagine it helping other games as well.

that would be what I get.. if not more. So I don't think that is quite normal. Clocked the PC? Could be unstabile or something :\
