Hi,

First of all, i want to say that i really never had some time to spend on some Vista trials.

For those who were enough patient to try it, how works the SR7 pc games on Vista ? Is DT4.0 able to run on Vista and does it emulate well Securom7?

And what about the registry trick which exists on XP for all SR7 games (change the drive letter on the MountedDevices key by driverletter.h) . Is there a working equivalent trick on Vista ?

Thx !

Hi,
sorry for bringing back an old topic( and for my so bad english).
As a recent Vista Ultimate user, I have been trying to make some game runs on this new OS ( in fact it was the only game i play lol : Dark Messiah of MM).
On winXP I have found very handy to use maxi image mounted on daemon tool and the very smart registry hack : "Driverletter.h" instead of Yasu because of frequent blakclisting (but don t get me wrong Yasu is beautiful piece of work) and everything was always working fine.
Now on Vista, this trick is not working anymore for me (even if I hide the real IDE optic device by disabling my add on SCSI card)
I have tried another game to be sure (RE4) with the same failure.

Is it a well known fact that the registry hack is no more valid on Vista ? Do i miss something ?

Anyways, thanks for you help.
