I like the game, would be nicer if it was more like the Nintendo DS version.
In that version you are a rookie autobot/decepticon that can scan any vehicle in the game, which you can choose as your vehiculer form.
And you do missions for Optimus, Ironhide or Barricade, Starscream.
Imho that gives your more of a freedom feeling.
Graphics wise the pc-version is nice, but gamplay wise i like the NDS version better.
If they would combine those two in the same game it would be awesome.

Really don't like the way the game is preforming get alot freezing when have to replay a section
But just saw a invitation only sneak preview of the movie which pumped my up to see this game thru
The movie I'll give a solid "B" its about 2 1/2 hours long

even on console it bites..i had mor fun with hulk which is similar but better...

hmm cant see why everyone is complaining, I actually like the game.
Simple and I get to run it at high details with only bloom and blur turned off (dont like those effects anyway)
Nice to just run around causing havoc, I only dislike some lvls having a timer for the missions, but so far only at chapter 3 of Autobots.
Its not "great" or "uber" or how you would call it, but imo its a decent movie game, something similiar as Spider-Man was for me. So if you like the franchise, you wont be disappointed.
Worth the buy? Nah, though it has a lot of replay value due to those extra missions / awards you can gather throughout each mission (like Crackdown) so for consoles it might be good fun.
As for the gameplay, I can control everything without too much problems, only got stucked once in a forest and had to reload the mission, other than that, its a great game to pass some time with and I think you can finish the complete game in 1 day. So when bored and when you like the transformers, go play

i love TF and this game is an atrocity to the franchise. sucks beyond belief. horrible controls, shit gfx, lame missions, horrible gameplay (every robot has the same 3 hit combo? wtf) using guns is pointless because every robot u shoot puts an invincible sheild up, the driving controls are ridiculously shit....good god wtf happened?

To get rid of the shield you have to toss something at them and then start firing, also when they are in shape you can hit them as well with your normal blasts.
Agreeing with the "llame" missions, but what else did you expect with missions for a Transformers movie game? 
GFX & Controls arent that bad imo, nothing to get annoyed of and of course its not Crysis or anything, but you can finish this game in a single day. Just some smashing fun! Jumping from building to building and landing on some poor bot his head is fun

i expect from this game what i expect from the movie. 2 hours of dumb fun with explosions and robots beating eachother up... i doubt ill be dissapointed, im not expecting high art, and im sure as shit not expecting the movie to stand up to a 20 year old 2d animated movie, thats for damn sure.

AND that is complete BS, and you know it. We all know you are a gfx whore, but noone really cares

yeah it is very good, the only real gameplay problem is the driving and flying part as mentioned above, if you steer slightly to the left, chances are you are always to hit something, either if is a house or a car, the car control is horrible, but other than that it's a very good game

i played and finished it with a 360 controlle. common sense would tell u to use one. but shit the game overall sucks.
shit driving controls, lame shit like go back into the action area, if youre an autobot u get penalized for destroying anything even if someone throws you into it or you have to destroy it to continue. corny missions that are basically the same every level. and also the horrible camera and the most annoying of all, when you go to pick something up u dont always pick it up, u eithe kick it away or just knock it over and then you get fucked up.
but it had a good story, just the game itself is shit.

90% agree, as I only had camera problems with the driving, otherwise left stick = move camera

I looked at the screens in the above post's, an noticed that you guys have shadows so i checked out my game, an FSAA an shaders or shaders what ever its called are both greyed out, wtf, machine specs are in sign, game is fully maxed out, but dont know why those 2 options are greyed out using 158.24 drivers on vista,

when you guys are right, your right. this game is absolutely horrible... graphics truely are rubbish, the screenshots actually looked half decent, and the driving sequences wtf? wow. i cant believe that activision actually has the nerve to charge full price for this, it should be a cut-price $10 title... and they wonder why people dont pay for so many games...
