i thought some of the laid-off samnmax2 staff already started a new company to develop a game which will be true to the oldschool lucas arts adventures?
EDIT: that happens if the linked site loads so slow that one cant even wait to read before commenting
i desperately hope samnmax2 will be finished asap, but i fear it wont

Since the release of Runaway : A Road Adventure from Pendulo Studios and all the mess with Sam & Max or the adventure genre returning from the grave, I discovered that God really exists
And it plays point-and-click adventures

Let's pray for it,
hehe just dug out my old sam and max cd version, and it's been so long time since I last completed it so some of the puzzles I forgot how to solved, ahh love when that happens then it's like a new game.
still remember the first place in the game I crack total up laughing that is when Max has to get taht paper out of the poor cat outside, hehe just the animation when he sticks his hand down the cat's troat is so damm funny.

runaway was great except for the damn key outside the hut. that bit took me a while > broken sword 3 was a good adventure and used control very well. but was a lil easy with the starred icons and when escapin from the cave it was hard. if i could ask for any adventure it would prolly be a grim fangango 2 or monkey island 5, as long as monkey island used a mouse again.

just got my news letter from TellTale Games and one of the things mentioned is this.
Looking for fun properties to develop. To that end, we have now secured
the rights to an exciting license we know you'll all enjoy. Unfortunately,
we can't name it yet, but we'll do so real soon
the gets more and more interesting, and look here http://www.telltalegames.com/secret.jsp
don't know if the pictures is just for fun, but it is named secret though, and on this there is a monkey, so perhaps the secret could be Monkey island 5, lucas arts is growing tired of adventure it seems so perhaps they have sold the license, just a wild guess, but I still hope it is Sam And max though, but that monkey makes me think otherwise still
Can't wait to find out what those guys are up to. check their site out http://www.telltalegames.com
Brendan Q. Ferguson write some pretty funny Blogs there.

That monkey looks like the spank the monkey monkey :/ id love to see a company like this become very successful. the market is getting overrun with graphics, and brands. thats 1 of the reasons why i liked runaway so much. id never heared of it before and was a very nice surprise. Still any point and click adventure will be nice.
