hrm, is it just me, or is the combat a bit wierd? i mean when i fire it takes about ½ sec before the bullet hits where i aim (and not on a far distance either) its not ping related since i got about 50 ping....
it just doesnt feel like old ET did =(

Uhm, lots of the effects seem to be missing or incomplete, so I think it will look and feel much better when code is finalized.

aye, been playing for a cuple of hours more now, and the game grows a bit on me. but still. it feels somewhat half done, might give this a buy if the full version is better.

Heh, that was a nasty suprise, copy didn't work, alt+tab didn't work, had to quit and use pen & paper to write down key, how oldpreschool =)

Noticed that as well when I typed the key in, but I solved it by pressing Alt-Enter to change Quakewars from fullscreen to window mode as usually needs to be done with Doom III engine titles since the disallow the normal Alt-Tab command.
Though copy paste worked fine for me aside from the last two digits since they are separate from the main key.
Interesting game and quite configurable via the console though most commands are difficult to adjust on the fly since they can't be changed while playing.
(Wonder how much of a difference the full version will show since I noticed that some visual commands where lowered slightly and the texture files were DDS this time instead of the full resolution TGA files normally used in high/ultra quality graphic modes from Doom, Prey and Quake.)
Gameplay was OK as well but I'm quite a bad player when it comes to multiplayer and I'm still learning the various classes, weapons and vehicle differences.
(Seems BF 2142 will get some real competition soon but that depends on the quality of the release version and future updates, additions and support.)

You need XP for those. First came in @ 200, if I'm not totally wrong.

wow this game really grows on you.. the first couple of hours were confusing as shit and i didnt care much for the 30fps lock, but then i started learning how the different classes work etc and all the small details. i still cant remove the lock tho, i've tried a million different commands in the console, but to no avail. would like to have tripe that amount of fps for the close quarter fights =(
