I like Quake4 multiplayer (got it for 5.99, couldnt pass it up). I dont like buggy, jerky, ugly netcode lag.
The engine wasnt designed for this many players, they should've held off for their next one. |
The engine doesn't have anything to do with the netcode. It's doom 3 engine but updated net code. This beta plays better than quake 4 retail for me. I have to lower the settings on quake 4 to medium or it would get laggy on the bigger ctf maps. I run QW at full detail and it's perfect. I expect the retail to have higher texture samples and some missing effects. If you watched the earlier videos you know some graphics features are missing.
There are still some glitches but I like what I've played so far. If anything, I'm a little burned out on the sewer map. I wish they would release another to test. I hope there is a space station map. I'm definitely buying this game first week of release.

It doesn't explain anything, other than keys now are 7 minutes late. If this was still subscribers only they wouldn't be late.

lol, i put the highest hardware equpment accecptable, and with 2gb ram, 8800 512mb, and 3.6ghz, i dont meet the requirements for quake wars LOL
