religion is idiotic and main cause of wars, destruction and greed. I piss on all religion in the way it is presented to humanity. Bible is like a freakin joke ... vatican is a joke, islam is a joke ... I have certain level of respect for budhism and such religions because they don't seem so corrupted as others.
aliens, yes ... evolution, yes ... we all came from Adam & eve ... nigga please ...

let people believe what they want. Why for you want to be a complete asshole towards someone who believes in something. Just because you don't see things the way they do doesn't mean they're wrong. Yeah you got wars and you got some fucked up people, but still doesn't mean you're to criticize them as a whole because of a few hiccups.
Same can be said for geeks/nerds who strongly believe in life on other planets. They dress up in tiny tin foil hats, go on some deserted green plains, flash all kinds of colorful lights and ask aliens to anal probe them. Fawk.
Yeah wars, murder, and bunch of fuckers telling you you're going to hell can't be as bad as reading some nerdy sci-fi novel and believing every word of it then telling others that the stain on your windshield was a UFO you thought was following you!

i couldnt care less what anyone believes in, or doesnt. Long as you accept i have my views on things, i can accept you have yours. Dont try to force me to your way of thinking and i wont argue against your beliefs. Pretty simple really.

Ignorance, lack of education and stupidity. Three of the major factors in the formation and modern continuation of religion.

Joke of the day.
Most intelligent people are (in general) either:
a) atheists
b) agnostic
c) have a minor relationship to religion/faith

The lack of evidence supporting the existence of something is actually evidence (but maybe not proof) that something doesn't exist.
did you take that quote waldoj, from penn & teller - bible episode? |
No. I got it where they got it from. The original source!
Just kidding.
I watched this UFO thing where they interviewed a whole bunch of people and this one guy said it

What a hypocrite you are , you would be the first to say that not all Muslims are extremists yet you brand all Atheists as dumb fucks. When studies show the complete opposite, this world would be a much better and safer place if organized religion wasn't so prevalent. On the contrary, I think your the one that is weak
"Scientists and Religion in America"
"Whereas 90% of the general population has a distinct belief in a personal god and a life after death, only 40% of scientists on the B.S. level favor this belief in religion and merely 10 % of those who are considered 'eminent' scientists believe in a personal god or in an afterlife."
"Leading Scientists Still Reject God"
A recent survey of members of the National Academy of Sciences showed that 72% are outright atheists, 21% are agnostic and only 7% admit to belief in a personal God.
In multiple studies, there is a negative correlation between theism and morality. By Franzblau's 1934 study, there's a negative correlation between religiousity and honesty. Ross 1950 shows atheists and agnostics are more likely to express their willingness to help the poor than the deeply religious. 1969 Hirschi and Stark found no correlation in lawbreaking by churchgoing children and non-churchgoing children.
This same Skeptic published the results of another study that compared professions and likelihood of believing in God. The general public was just over 90% likely to believe in God. Scientists in general were just under 40% likely. Mathematicians were just over 40% likely, biologists just under 30%, and physicists were barely over 20% likely to believe in God.

Plus,Imagine, that God does exist.Having all the injustice and shit going round what kind of pervert he'd prove himself to be creating all this. Now imagine, there's this pervert omni...bla..bla God,and you,who doesn't quite believe in it,but waits for some extra proves of its existence. So it's much more comfy to be atheist, than agnostic.
I myself am located somewhere on the line agnostic--atheist--antitheist(when I meet creationists and other religious wackos meddling with science). But mostly close to center.

i'm just a realist.
I don't believe in those fairy tale stories like the travel stories as the bible, kuran or any other religious book.
i just live my life as i wanted without being brainwashed by some people of the church or mosq.
so i'd rather be a dumb fuck then to let my life led by lies and fairy tales and/or believing in somekind of "god".
but hey, that's just my opinion.

For my part, i believe in God and I'm in a Christian religion. But i don't follow you when you call Atheist people weak people, Because we are all the same. Believer side is full of dumb people. Same thing for atheist and agnostic side.
Beside of that, Almost nobody will change (fully) his own belief when adult, or it will take years. So we can't argue.
Anyway, here is my opinion on that point. Call it biased or not, it's my humble opinion :
Nowadays, people have no time to think about why are we here? what for? ... School,TV,Entertainement, Computer , Life Problem,...addwhatyouwant...... will take care of you from day1 of your real life.
We live also in a world with no valor, no threshold. If a god would exist, a lot of (if not most) people would have major problems. So why not forget God and teach that it doesn't exist. Market gain more money this way, people doesn't feel guilty this way.
That's only a small part of my opinion.
And to conclude, a nocd crack didn't came from a polymorphic code inside the exe that evoluate to nocd while it was running for 6billion of years, a smart guy (or girl ) did it. What for Human... It's as stupid.

You do realise that if gave a random code sequencer a few parameters and left it running for 6 billion years it would easily create a crack for every game thats ever existed, you probably wouldn't even need to give it any positive selection reinforcements.
Most people have no concept of time, thats why they can't understand evolution. Thats fair enough, our own perspective is incredibly limited. But there are people who are better at grasping such abstract concepts and to them it's fairly simple. Evolution is all about death, the deaths of unimaginable numbers of organisms over time scales that humans can hardly comprehend.
The laws of probability are fairly easy to understand, especially with knowledge of the fundamental scientific principles. Yet some people just don't get it no matter how many times you explain it. Evolution becomes far more rational with this understanding.
Why do you think that belief in any organized religion is so much rarer in the scientific community then it is in the general populace? Because ignorance is one of the major factors in the formation of religious beliefs.

I see what you mean. It's like the exemple of monkeys that could write the bible.
Well your point is good, we can *sorta* explain world/life creation this way. But, i don't accept this theory because imho we are something more than evolution of matter.
We have a life, and we use to call it "a miracle". It's not a point but, you know, the time i saw a dead man from my eyes, this time i understood that man was more than "dust". Nothing related to somewhat a spirit that left you when you die (i don't believe it).
I think that everything that have a "life" approve that (Animals, Mother Nature...).
We can't create life and it's not a matter of time. Every human creation is an imitation of what exist in the nature in a worse way (we can't be perfect at first shot ) Intelligence is the keyword.
