The funniest part is that some "l33t hArc0re PC gameRs" think that there is a unique race of people who play on consoles and those people are inferior to them in every way.

The thing I like most about consoles is that everyone is on the same page.. If you are lagging (graphically) then so is everyone else.. everyone is at equal footing with you. Everyone has mostly the same settings, same conditions as you, etc, etc.
PCs are like, you never know what some hardcore dude did to mess with every last setting, changed all his graphics to make everyone bright orange.. blah, I don't know. PC leaves open so much for people to customize, some people can't even run the game without turning down all their settings, etc, etc.
Console is just less mess to me, and I like knowing everyone in the game is seeing/playing the same thing.
But I play both consoles and PC so I don't know what the big war is all about...

I think it depends on what you wanna play (without even considering the application side of the thing) ... i play 99% rpg, strategy games and a few rts ... so i remain a pc-only user (and eventually play the missing great console titles of my genres when years after some emulator is functioning just like i did with ps1 missing tiles some years ago).
I have nds and psp and using them during the holidays, i feel bad too much away from gaming ahah 
I have to admit that if i liked to play other kind of games however i would buy at least one better two consoles ...
There are only 10 kinds of people : those that understand binaries and those that don't.
