Nice game if you like 25FPS max, lagging peace of shit game.

omg wtf did they do... the game is fun but at 25fps it SUCKS...

How exactly did you detect that it's 25 FPS?

Well I have been playing games for over 15 years now... I know Very Happy

if you want to see for your self...

start let's say counterstrike, and limit the FPS on 25 and play for 10 mins...

Than play again with FPS on let's say 100 and you will see Wink

game runs pretty smooth for me, play vice city or san andreas with capped fps vc=25/sa=30fps then talk

DNL version is now OK, Spare release do not use - even with patches
It was checked today against a real retail uk version and the Spare release has different bytes, where as the DNL release is 100% the same as retail.

your not making sense!
where are u getting your info from? or false info from?

NUKED 2007-06-14 Colin.McRae.Dirt.PAL.PROPER.XBOX360-{DNL Rls Group}

Nuke Reason: invalid.proper_patch.available.for.SPARE.release

>{IND} realease::iXtreme 1.2 Stealth Patch for Colin_McRae_DIRT_PAL_XBOX360-SPARE

SPARE's rls is not working on iXtreme 1.2 because of 45 bytes missing
in the last few sectors of the video partition. This ppf will recreate
those missing bytes<

Alternatively you could use {XDVDMulleter Beta 9} to patch there u go

I think the word is that even when the spare release is patched it is still not exactly like the retail (even tho it works with Ixtreme 1.2) and potentially could get you banned in live.

Best to play it safe and get the DNL release.

I dont like to trust DNL.. they are pretty much the only group that have stuffed up recent releases.
If the above is the case and DNL want to PROPER a release then DNL is admitting to the 'scene' that they should look at their recent releases and MUST nuke them aswell!!!

Pirates.of.the.Carribbean.At.Worlds.End.PAL.XBOX360-DNL (No FDI + PMI)
Guitar.Hero.II.PAL.XBOX360-DNL (No FDI + PMI)
NBA.Street.Homecourt.PAL.XBOX360-DNL (No FDI + PMI)

In summary what im saying. DNL have stuffed up 3 of their previous releases and now they 'PROPER' release other groups for similar mistakes. Dont trust DNL!!

the towel fix does more harm than good, be prepared to wave your xbox bye bye unless you fix it properly.

Ur serieus? wtf, tell me more, how i can solve it then pls Crying or Very sad

the 3 red light issue is due to mobo warpage under excessive heat, where the gpu or cpu loses contact with the mobo. this is caused by the x-clamps that ms use to hold the heat sinks on both the gpu and cpu. these x-clamps need to be replaced.

this means that putting ur xbox under excessive heat on purpose, such as with the towel trick, will cause the solder to reflow allowing u some time to play ur 360 but causing more long term damage in terms of mobo warpage in the long run.

look on the xbox-scene forum, there are tutorials there, if u have any experience with computer hardware then it is a relatively easy solution.

Oh, k . . .ok under what do i need to look @ xbox-s ? willing to try to fix it then...now the red lights are gone, i can't even play 2 mins anymore or he crashes, or screen drops out :/, and i can't put it back to ms, because of the FW hack :/

The demo of this has a perfect framerate, are you sure you guys with the problems are playing the final?

pretty sure...
It kind of reminds me of deus ex on the xbox, and some parts of test drive!
maybe it's just me being picky, or maybe it's a "forza" effect.
I'll let u know after playing a while if it still bothers me Smile

after toiling around last night, I have given up on this game. The controls are too sensitive. It sure looks pretty but I am going back to Forza 2...

FYI: Region Free. It plays fine on my NTSC box. Using the DNL rip BTW.

My apologies if this was covered in a previous post. Smile

Holy shift, I just got myself to unrar and burn this game, I usually HATE racing games, the only ones I've liked are the Need for Speed series, which can't really be considered a racing game at all. I don't know, I just like "arcady" racing games. But this one is perfect for me, not to hard to steer, but not to easy either, it's a tad 'arcady' at times, but at other times it feels pretty realistic. Altough of course, it's nothing like IRL driving, but it still feels great.

I really haven't had this much of a blast playing a racing game before. I played Forza and altough that was one hell of a good game, I really prefer outdoor racing in forests and deserts.

So this game gets a big 9/10 for me, perfect rally game for me. Altough I can understand why some might feel disapointed with the game.

One thing that keeps the game from being a 10/10 for me is the lack of split screen, but most of my friends dislike racing games anyway, but yeah, would be fun with some split screen action since i've got this huge tv. But oh well, great game nonetheless.

(And yes, i'm playing with the xbox 360 steering wheel etc. It's great fun.)
