I am what you might call your typical computer dude.. I tech shit for my job, I come home and do shit on the computer, I play games, I program, etc, etc...
I am not what you might call someone who gets up and moves a lot, lol.
Today I decided to take up some running, I am going to try like hell to stick to it.. but day 1.. man. I am killing.
I only ran for 15 minutes, and walked for 5... and my legs are the deadest pieces of something alive you can possibly imagine.. goddamn I never knew how bad it was!!!
I now have a certain respect for those people I pass while driving in my car that run across town like it was nothing.. soon I hope to be that person.
But man, I am off to a rocky start haha.
I know some of you do weights and work out, do we have any runners up in here? When does it start to get easier, lol.

If you never ever moved before the easiest start would be fast walking.

I used to do crosscountry running.
You'll be better off taking it a lot slower. Do a bit of walking before running. Stretching exercises are essential. Even more so if you're unfit.

I don't think that you should push yourself to hard when you're in pain (even if it is only 15 minutes). When i started running i ended every session as soon as i felt a bit pain (that was at around 10 min) and in two and a half weeks i could run 4.5-5 km easy.
EDIT: Also, don't forget that your first lap should ALWAYS be a warm-up lap (30% of your average speed).

Youre muscles hurt because you didnt stretch them. Any muscles you wanna train you need to stretch them properly before and after you train. When i started with my core it hurt like shit. Then i looked for streches for core and when i started to use them my muscles didnt hurt and i could train every day without problems. If youre core is weak dont run build up muscles first.

I do warm ups and stretches before and after every sportive activity. The thing is that parkou forces you to use every single muscle in your body at some point and it came as a shock for my body since some of my muscles were never properly trained.

Ah wow we got some people with know how I see!
Yah when I left I started 5 minutes of walking (tried to stretch first but didn't really know if I was stretching properly? haha..).
Then started a run at a comfortable pace, whenever it got too hard I walked a bit, then ran again, did that for 15 minutes or so, then walked for a few minutes when done..
So am I supposed to bring tons of water with me or no?

Water is the key dude. Stretch take a 30 sec pause drink water. Then start easy joginig. Stop and drink water every 2 min if you need to. Nothing wrong with that. You need water to run. When you feel some pain stop take a pause drink some water. If you see you cant run anymore then walk for 5-10 min to chill and lower youre heart rate. You DO NOT WANNA joust stop. When you are done stretch again. If you have bad back you DO NOT WANNA RUN. You should build up youre lower and upper back first or you gona fuck youre back up. Btw when you run you need to use youre ass and abs.Do not run without using abs or ass. Thats very important. And watch youre posture. Youre back need to be in straight line. If you are fat then you need to do some correction in shit you eat. You need to keep youre muscle and loose fat. Every muscle you have burns fat. But if you dont take shit to keep youre muscle alive training wont have big effect. You need to eat chicken breasts, turkey breasts, drink only pure juice home made or water, eat canned tuna and diffrent fishes, eat lots of fruit,DO NOT eat white bread only eat bread with beads,no white flour,no suger, eat biggest meal in the morning, smallest in the evening, eat 6 times a day, small meals, avoid junk food,1 time a week cheat and eat what you want but keep in mind moderation is the key.Meh there is tons of stuff i can tell you concerning getting in shape but key shit is you want to keep muscle not destroy it.

I am pretty skinny guy, I think my back is ok but I wouldn't mind doing any exercises in that area as well?
I'll be sure to bring some water next time haha, and I didn't even think of my posture, I'll have to check it out on my next run.
Thanks for all the info!

Good check all the things i wrote and you will be ok. If you wanna train youre back you should google for it since i cant show you exercises for you back in forum. So only things you should remebar are water, streching before and after, use abs and ass when running and posture. Good luck and i hope you wont quit. ^^

Sounds good man.
Last question.. what sort of schedule should I be on? Run everyday? Every other day? 3 times a week? Twice a week?

Well when i started working out i went for 2 times a day for 1h. This was for my abs and my core.It really depends on people. Someone can/have time to train 2 times a day, someone doesnt have time for that or he feals to much pain. My guess would be for you that you should do it every day.You shouldnt skip one day for at least a month if not more. If you skip one day its much harder to get going in youre mind.Aim for once a day.If you can over the weekend try for 2 times a day.The more you do it bettar/faster are results.Btw be sure to use stairs for training. Going up and down the stairs. It is the best training for youre legs, ass and to gain condition but that fucker is hard. I would do it like this. 3 times a week go in gym and train youre leags with lifting and other days run. That combination would yield best results. But its up to you.But be sure to do stairs. ^^
