If someone has access to a pre-channel database, where you can search back in the archives to august 2004, then i would really appreciate if you could please check if FTFiso's WinXP Pro. SP2 Corp. release has been nuked for containg beta files ? I know that nforce dosen't state that the release have been nuked, but yesterday i found some comments under a WinXP.Pro.SP2.Corp torrent release, where someone stated that the FTFiso release had been 100% nuked in pre-channels for containing one or more beta files, and hence this other release was made(25 august 04). An example given was an directx9c file which the release included that had traces of beta in it ? I personally have a very hard time believing that this is true, but as i don't have acces to any pre-channels unfortunetly then i can't check myself.

Here is the thread : NO FUCKING LINKS TO TORRENTS - Next time it will be a ban.

Here is a little quote from the thread :

"This is the full real version of SP2, absolutly no beta files
are in this release, as it was in the release by FTFiSO."

@LeoNatan

Would you please clarify what you mean with : "WTF?! XP SP2?! " If your point is that it's old, then you are quite right, but just because you happen to think that it's too old to still be usefull, then we are still quite many which feel otherwise. As i'm personally no fan of eye candy and since Vista is much slower than XP and still has issues with much software/drivers, then i still prefer a nicely tweaked XP SP2 anyday.PS. If that wasen't what you meant, then i apologise in advance.

@The Mods

I am so very sorry and i hunbly apologise for my senceless action of posting a link to an illigal torrent download. I know that it maybe sounds like i'm full of crap, but honestly then i actually didn't think for one moment about that i was posting a link to an illegal torrent, but only about getting people to read the comments under the torrent and to tell me if anybody knew anything about if this was true or not. Now when i think about it, then i realize that the comments where actually also in swedish, so most of you guys wouldn't understand them anyway. Once again, i hope you will accept my most sincere apology for being so careless and idiotic...

No man, it's not too old to put XP. It's old that you ask about an SP2 release... Legit releases of SP2 come out every month, incorporating all the latest patches. Those are the releases you should seek, not this one. That's why I loled.

HAHA *LOL* sorry, mate - i guess that i'm a little to sensitive Smile Thank you for clarifying what you meant, mate Smile Yes, i know that ETH0 makes monthly release with RyanVM's update pack integrated, and i have also used them for 2 years or something, but i am now instead going over to taking an untouched WinXP SP2 release and then manually integrating Xable's XUDPack on it with nLite and that's why i wanted the ofiicial and non-nuked WinXP SP2 release(i have been using FTFiso's for sometime and will continue to use it as i am pretty sure that it is a lie that is has been nuked). The reason that i don't just use ETH0's releases are that they are using RyanVM's update pack, which includes many unoffical updates + all optional updates, besides the High Priority updates, whereas Xable's XUDPack only includes the High Priority updates, and i preffer to only have them integrated. Also, many of ETH0's release have WMP11 intergrated also or IE7 and such, which i also don't like as i'm using Firefox/foobar2000 myself. Anyway's i just wanted to clarify why i'm not using the new releases, and you don't have to respond to this post, as i just wanted to explain why i'm asking questions about such old releases.

'Rumor' has it that MS has servers with all important ISOs out there for MSDN (and whatever else) subscribers. With a little patience, you'll find it. Razz
