It is all about money. Most of the time they just port console version to save money, when it should be a whole new dev team working on a pc version from scratch, like they do for BioShock. DiRT gotta be the worst port performance vise I've seen.

Runs pretty good on ultra on my rig:
C2Duo 6420 2.13Ghz, 8800GTS 640MB, 1GB 800Mhz RAM...
I think its great, except the performance stuff...

When you say "good" what resolution are you talking about? Coz I also can play on ultra @ 1024x768 but that doesnt satisfy me coz that low res looks like crap.

i have problem with protection...
the game launch time the first time but if i quit and i relauch he doesn't work !
i have to resinstall the game.... and it works one time !!

havn't install the full game yet, but the demo worked ok on my old machine (cpu=p-4 3.2ghz, 2gb ddr 400mhz, 6600gt 128) on low settings and it was nice and playable 20 fps, but when i tried to set some options to high, it wasn't playable at all...its was like 1 fps rofl:D , now i am runing 8800GTS , so i guess its will be abit better.
will let you know after installation. |

Al about opinions, i think dirt has lots more details. Even the damagemodel is alot better and that comparing to a game that's all about damage i think is a big compliment for dirt.

Oh nicer damage model, so THAT'S why DiRT's framerate is about five times lower than FlatOut2's. Thanks for clearing that out, bud.
