I really enjoyed it too, my only worry is that the gameplay could get a bit repetitive. I'm not really sure how the game will expand as you progress.

Exactly my worry. I'm hoping that the gameplay will be slightly open ended, maybe with a bit of micro management of various cities/towns that you "rule".. It seemed to indicate in the demo that people would learn to fear you and then give you stuff to stop you from killing them.. Here's hoping there is a little more to the game than the demo shows.

I agree. It's very unique, and the closet thing I'd call it is... a modern day Dungeon Keeper. It's a 3rd person..imp...sweeper. My favorite feature is the ability to just guide them around with the right analog stick.
Runs beautifully on my setup, 1440x900, 8xaa, 4xansio

not bad game though, but i would appreciate something like Sacrifice was. Open wide world with your creatures leashed and spells to support them in epic battle for EVIL! And with big portion of humor of course. :)))
Overlord is not bad, but i dont find close quarters, pre-rendered way a good enough to unleash all powers and ways hidden in anti-hero. sure, if it would be like sacrifice, it would be different cup of coffee.

I too hope the demo was a very small fraction of what the full game has to offer! It left me pretty underwhelmed. I also hope it's a bit more open-ended than the demo suggested.. or at least a sandbox option or something.

Loved the 360 demo. I'm still unsure on which version to get. For 360, I simply don't bother and buy it but for PC I'd rather download it first. I'm also very curious to know what else you can do. This game has a great potential so far yet one can only hope that it has more than what we've seen. I'm also curious as to what your ultimate goal will be. It's obvious it is to be evil but to achieve what? To become the earth's master and have all be your servant or to get your evil tower back in shape? I'd rather have the earth's population bow to me than have a fully functionnal tower somehow. Don't mistake me though, the game looks promising yet, I still wonder, will the rest be worth 70$cdn (60$cdn in the case of the PC version or 0$ in the case of a rls)?
ah and Nakitu, your lack of intelligence kind of entertain me. Your will to appear different and unique makes you look like every other children visiting this board or any other forums on the net. It's funny how teenagers all want to be different yet they all look alike.
Note to self: come up with a good sig.

The gameplay and the story between a console game and a PC game remains the same so if I say that I liked the minions in Overlord's 360 demo one can easily assume that the minions in the PC demo will be the same, right? The difference in between a PC and a console version primarily remains within technicalities such as visual adapatation, streaming, hardware configuration and adaptation. There may be extras such as extra levels or characters but the game will remain the same. Bugs and glitches are unrelated to the game itself and simply come from QA while controls are simply a different feel for players hence not really related to the game itself. Overlord for PC and Overlord for 360 is all about an overlord controlling minions and if the 360 demo left me curious and wanting for more I can pretty much say the PC version would do the same. If you can't comprehend that, kid, you are the one needing help.

I gotta agree here, when I read about a multiplatform game I rarely even bother to check if i'm on PC or Xbox page.

Youre lack of logic is something to admire. So in youre words game that runs like shit, full of bugs, doesnt start on all graphic cards or crashes every 10 min is the same as game that is running normal. Bravo. You should really check what gameplay means and you should try to get appointment with doctor. Because normal person knows that if game runs like shit and crashes all the time its crap and no one here cares about x360 game. Meh i give up ,it useless explaining things to people who dont understand the basics.

There are a lot of people who cares about 360 games here in the PC-section. And from time to time you can always find Console vs. PC discussions/bashing
