After installing Halo 2 and copying the crack, I try to run it, it prompts the first screen witho those huge letters saying halo 2 and then it just crashes to desktop.
what might be happening?
I have the latest version of nvidia drivers....

I experience the same problem as well with the Halo_2_PROPER-AERiS version. No errors during install, crack files copied over yet the game crashes at the Halo 2 startup splash screen. Latest ATI drivers 8.38-070517a-046757C-ATI, Catalyst verison 7.5, latest creative audigy 2 drivers as well. On a P4 3ghz with 2 gigs of ram, Audigy 2 Platinum Sound card and an ATI AIW x800 graphics card. Fresh install of Vista Ultimate updated. Any help would be appreciated.

read somewhere that other people are having this same problem only in AERIS release, I'm getting razor's release again, will post back after try it out.

meh this game doesnt support 1280x720, my favorite res i like to use on my widescreen tv because games look good and run good at that res. it supports only 4:3 res's except for 1920x1080 and i tried running it on that (max settings) and it runs a bit slow. 1280x720 would be just right... any1 know where this game stores the resolution settings or some kind of cfg file? i looked in the game folder and My Games\Halo 2 folder and got no settings i can edit.
p.s. game failed on install at first using dtools 3.9 or such (from january), failed to copy from the virtual drive. then i installed Dtools 4.x latest release from this month and it installed fine that way.

i don't have sound when i play it games runs fine only the fucking sound ingame won't work please help

what kind of sound card ? did you installed new Vista compatible drivers ?
did you checked if this game by mistake muted/lowered the sound ? <=(this was in my case) |

i got a soundblaster audigy 1 card
yep my sound in vista works wfine only ingame not
no the sound is not lowered

did you try installing openal , guess its true what they say about creatives sound cards are Vista |
