try to change display drivers, in many cases stuff like that can be solved by another driver. |

Which drivers you got game working?
I have ATI Catalyst CCC 7.5, Latest DirectX9c April update, Latest SB Live 24 drivers and MEI's nware 6.10 motherboard drivers..

i am runing 8800GTS so its the other graphic cards family;)
i am using forceware 160.03 and its great , after i installed the official drivers from nvidia, 158 something, and i had only issue's with all the games, and with the 160.03, everything runs just great.
i use the onboard audion card and i didn't update the driver for long time..no probs. and like you , latest direct x9c |

yes i have OpenAL drivers installed.. and game still not working.. freezes everytime on You Are Empty screen

the game freezes on YOU ARE EMPTY title screen as for others... any fix for this?
i installed all codecs on dvd, rebooted, tried compatibility, etc. its a complete freeze meaning you cant even get out of it with bringing up task manager or trying to switch out. only a hard shutdown works. sucks!
Edit:
got it working by reinstalling the game (because i overwrote the original EXE files), then running the game without copying crack. it asks to install starforce drivers, so i let it. then reboot, copy crack. now it works. seems it at least needs the starforce drivers installed even if the protection checks are cracked. also i had win 2000 compatibility on just in case.

bleh. this game wasnt so bad actually, its gfx are comparable to HL2 when using maximum settings... and the level design is definitely not repetitive if you just play past the beginning indoor areas. i like the part where you get to the giant mutant chickens and such. however then i got to some train which i ride and then it goes to load the next level but it has an error, something like "cannot load static blah\blah.bla". silly russians, they forget to add sprint mode to the game, also no flashlight of any sort, no enemy death sequences (they just drop), and TERRIBLE cutscenes. other than that this is still the most playable game to come out of russia.. well... ever.
EDIT:
reloaded last save game, this time the next level loaded. bugged game. but im glad i kept playing, the level design and atmosphere of the game gets progressively cooler. there is a steel smelting factory, then some tall building which is blown apart and you are going up inside whats left of it, i thought that was pretty well designed. then there is a fairly spooky city area, i dunno it just has an eerie atmosphere to it. id say at least play the game till you get the nail gun which kicks ass.

for all the guys that the screen is freezing:
After you copy the crack use Yasu and then choose the shortcut and the game will work
that's what i did.

That didn't work.. Game still feezes on You Are Empty -screen.. This game sucks!

Hmm, I checked the game's russian forum for a solution to your problems but it's not mentioned there. not a single time. so it's probably an issue with the foreign version only.
There were some problems with game not loading and a black screen but that was usually solved by installing older drivers.

The game was freezing on my computer too but it runs fine after running both exe's in the WMV9 directory.
First (and last) impressions:
- Linear and boring leveldesign
- Stupid enemies,they run in a straight line towards you
- Mediocre graphics
- No story so far and the intro movie is lame
- No music
- No sounds effects except for gun sounds and growling enemies
I give it 0,5/10 because it uninstalled quickly.
