Online activation is theoretically possible with server emulation.

Yes. The only problem with server data emulation is if some kind of hardware/software specific data is sent, which up to now wasn't usually the case, but is getting more and more popular.

Works quite well and it's worth the small amount of money it costs unless you have already been a Daemon Tools supporter for a while and thus get it for free, handles quite a few image formats and can create new images if needed, probably handles most copy protections as well including Tages from what I've seen.
Will be interesting to see what Securom and Starforce will do now since they are usually quick in blacklisting various tools and programs used by Daemon Tools.
There will also be various updates for some of the requested features that didn't make it into the release version such as the vIDE system instead of the usual vSCSI system.

They haven't implented the IDE emulator yet? That's what the Pro version is all about for me.

No vIDE ?!?!?
Can it at least make working images (even through emulation) of Tages ??
EDIT: My money is on BRD for this release.

There is no other program at the moment that can make such fast Tages images. 10 minutes for a Tages protected DVD.
The vIDE comes in the next update, doesnt take long.
You can now also encrypt an image with a password.
And before i forget, no blacklistening from securom or any other cp.

Not really, one can just follow the link in the Daemon Tools Pro release thread and buy it from there, had to do this myself since the email account I used when I first registered isn't active any longer and I haven't bothered with changing it.
(Doesn't really cost that much anyway and it was worth the money.)

(Roughly 200 SEK due to using PayPal to better secure the transfer.)
