Anyone know if this is the same game or if one is an addon pack or even if they're completely different?

Screenshots like very similar.

Iron Command:

Btw - simulators arent really well known to have the latest graphics, T-72 is actually a quite good game despite its graphics.

I think both are the same game, just different releaser. I´m actually playing LOT with Balkans on Fire and is SO NICE. Very well simulated, the graphics are dated but you got the feeling you expect from a game of this type. very nice simulation! just a little note, you need a very powerful cpu with this game, with my old sempron 2800 I can´t play it . Now with core2duo e6600 all is nice.

Evil or Very Mad

ps: you can download the manual for free here:

http://storefront.steampowered.com/Manuals/1670/Iron_Warriors_Manual.pdf

very useful if you want to use manual optics for fire the weapons...the laser designator often get killed by enemy fire and you have to use optics... check Page 19 etc...

Are there any mods out there. Maybe one which will include T-80 or T-90 ?

The game models the military career of a Russian volunteer tanker during the 1991-1995 civil war in Yougoslavia. On the Serbian side there were not only separate volunteer participants of the war, but whole subdivisions made up of the ex-USSR citizens, such as the Russian Volunteer Detachment (RDO-1, RDO-2, RDO-3), the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd Cossack sotnias. Reasoning from the specificities of the conflict we did not model large-scale tank battles. The game missions are based on the real application of tanks to local conflicts.

Hell, I got an 800 on my SAT II World History just by playing medieval and ancient age based RTS's Razz

Speaking of tanks sims, anyone ever tried Steel Beast Pro?

http://www.steelbeasts.com/

Looks quite good but for some reason its very expensive. 125 bucks.

Thats because Steel Beasts Pro PE was designed for the military to train their armored vehicle crews on.It is however also for sale to the public.Simply put its the most realistic tank simulator to date.its well worth the price. For those that dont want that kind of product they will be releasing steel beasts 2 eventually as well.

Currently you can command/control the M1 abrams,Leopard,M2/M3 bradley,M113,and the swedes CV9040,I think the HMMWVs can be manned to and you can command your forces as well.

The thing I really disliked about T-72 Balkans was the fact there are no interior views.Theres a lot more immersion there when you can close the hatch and see inside,etc..It is however still a good sim.

As far i can read it uses a dongle protection system, thats why we dont see any release of it.

I dont really think its bigger in size than any other game.
