Anyone play full scale games on it (full direct3d and opengl) without any problems? Now call me crazy but I'm thinking of installing Windows Server 2008 when it ships as my main os. I'd like to play games on it if possible, and at the same time learn all the features for the future (possible employment).
It can't be that bad, and it can be better than Vista, with a newer kernel and a newer code base?
By the time I get a new computer (I'd like to get at least 4gb of ram) I don't think there would be much more overhead than plain Vista, but I tweak my Windows up the wazoo anyway.

yes
but you have to crack some OS-racist installers so they'll even install, while every software i've tried has worked flawlessly

you're crazy
it still has all the downsides of vista
like the nazi protection scheme eating cpu power even when inactive, required signed drivers, retarded backwards incompatibility, among other things
but i'll be sure to try it in vmware once it comes out
for my next comp i'll probably just install linux and run various windowses as vmware instances whenever necessary
