i have games that i got on my laptop which had winxp sp2. I no longer have my laptop and now i got a desktop with windows vista. Im having some problems with a few of the games and a crc error. Is there anyway to fix this problem without getting the games again? They worked fine on the laptop. a couple of the games are black and white 2 (deviance) the elder of scrolls iv(not sure which group). Thanks for any help/tips.

Are they still in their original rar's and getting a crc upon extraction?

no, they were extracted and burnt on dvd, which i mostly used alcohol 120 to burn. i never kept a backup of the rars

You mean you get a CRC error during installing ? Maybe the dvds can't be read correctly by your dvdrom. Try imaging the dvds and see if errors comeup. If there are no errors install from the mounted images.

Meh it didnt burn well or disc is damaged. Next time when you burn cracked games use nero and choose Verify written data. Laughing
